Hand raised, Hand fed, 5-6 foot Male. 2 years old this past August. Incredible colors. $1,500 + shipping. Black throat monitors were made illegal to export from Africa, they have become VERY RARE!

I haven't been able to find such information but if it saves the species from people not caring for them correctly then I'm all for it. Whole prey diets are key to good health of any monitor.
 
The OP can set the price at whatever he/she wants. If you don't like the price, don't buy the animal. No need to comment on it.
