    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

However, your prior post is over the top. I did not ban jasballs, Dr. Owens did. Unfortunately, I don't see how jasballs getting banned can be justified without you invoking the same penalty.

I could be wrong but it appears that it wasn't exactly the same penalty since Jas is back and Jim and Kelli are still banned?

The penalty was the same (being banned), but the duration was longer based on the textual content differences in the posts. Any time a ban is invoked based on the actions of a member, a mod or myself has the option of determining the length of time to have that ban be in effect. That determination is based on a number of things taken into consideration, including past actions of the member, the likelihood of future similar actions of the member, as well as the relative level of the amount of abuse incorporated in the post that triggered the penalty. Generally speaking, the minimum ban level has typically been three days. The max can be a permanent ban. There are no set guidelines for the duration of a ban and it is entirely up to the mod or admin making the call.

In this case, if you compare the two posts (one for each member) that triggered their banning, I do believe you will note that there is quite a difference in the content of the respective postings. As such, the level of the ban was chosen to match the level of violation evident in each post.

Of course, there is a subjective aspect as well involved. If someone just pisses off a mod or myself, or either is just having an all around bad day, that will certainly play a role in the severity of the penalty invoked.

I'm tired of people trying to make things "difficult" on this site for everyone else, including me. I have come to the conclusion that temporary bans, suspensions with fines, etc., just do not work. If someone appears to be hell bent to make things difficult for me to get this site in efficient and respectable running order, then a permanent ban is in their future concerning this site. No more amnesties, change of heart, or believing their lies that they will change their ways if given a second (or third, or fourth, or fifth) chance. They will be out of here for good.

I have been told many times that what is posted accounts for maybe 1/3 of the events that occur outside of the internet, what happens behind the scenes may never be truly known. It was brought to my attention that 2shy2shy is not Marcia, but a family member who was posting from Marcia's home computer.

That family member did sign up to question your motives, she was surprised that you would ban Marcia, I have no other info beyond that. I am not saying you are gullible, but I think it is appropriate to share what I know.

In my opinion, sending someone (several someones?) after you have been banned for having shown some questionable actions, and having them question "motives" on your behalf is just another method of starting trouble.

It's not like these "family members" were already members, and I am sure Marcia could have told them if she wanted. So there was actually no need for them to register to ask about Marcia's banning.

Whoever that person really is made three posts. The first one about her being a lurker is an obvious lie, the second one was to provide information about Justyn that had been previously provided and it was done in a factitious manner, and the third post was to taunt Rich, and make him out to be some sort of fool.

I have to say, this site is way more lenient than most. Every board I am part of has a very, very tight grip on post's, to prevent a lot of the stuff that can happen. It's good and bad. Good to prevent un-need attacks and comments that serve no purpose but to allow a jerk to feel good about himself, but the bad that you are also not allowed to give your true opinions and thoughts for fear you may hurt, offend or start some foolish problem. I agree with a quote made here, go ahead and take you ball home, we will find something else to play. It's true, if you do not like the people in a group that you are part of, and can not say it to them, privately, then why be part of it? It's like making 5 bucks and hour at the crap job, and hating everyone you work with. Why would you work there. Boards like this are the same, just don't be part of it, end of story, no need to bring people down, or start fights. Just forget it and move on.

I am not going to speak for Marcia or her family members, they are the only ones that know of their own intentions. Most know the history between Rich, Marcia, and Kelli. If anyone is really that curious to know what Marcia's true intentions are, she has a contact number on her website.

I believe the quotes taken from Marcia herself in that thread linked in the opening post in this thread say all anyone really needs to know about Marcia's *true* intentions here. Now it appears she is using you as a pawn to further those intentions. I would strongly advise you to cease in your assistance with her obviously malicious intentions, in my opinion, with this site. I am not interested in having Marcia continue to participate on this site through a proxy. To put it more bluntly, I really don't give a rat's ass what she SAYS her *true* intentions are. What I have actually seen through her own actions is evidence enough for me.
 
Rich, I have stated what I was told and that is it. I am not going to go any further, she is not using me in any way and I am not assisting her, I am no pawn. I have no intention of of putting myself into any firing line. I have supported you in the past for banning people, I will again state that this is your website and you have the right to ban anyone as you see fit. I will step aside from this thread.

Just by posting that that last sentence, you have in essence "spoke for Marcia". ***I absolutely do not want to be in your shoes when the crap hits the fan if you continue in this line of thought. No one misunderstood a thing that I can see. Attempting to "hint" that Marcia is being "mistreated" will not work.


You may not have meant it, but you just supported Marcia, by instinuating that her intentions were misunderstood (I read the whole thing and I don't think I misunderstood a thing!) You also drug up the saga again to keep the wound fresh and open.
