    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

hey all,

I got a bp here that has been problems since I got her but now I've came across one I haven't been able to solve. my snake isn't deficating regularly and has a pretty solid mass in her lower half. it moves a bit when I rub on her gently but she never cleans herself out. got any ideas on how to get her bowels movin? I tried warm baths, and light massage but neither is working. got any ideas? thanks
 
Take it to the Vet. It sure sounds like an impaction, If the soaking has not worked for you then Id say it is time. -Matt

sound like a possible impaction.

causes for this might be the tempature of the basking spot are too hot and the poop gets baked in the snake

the temps are too low to provide the python with the abiltiy to perform normal functions.

substrate could have been injested and pluged up the snake

dehydration, the liquid nessary to keep the python's system going is too little.

course of action would be a vet viset to figure out why your python wont poop.
