In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

hey everyone my blood python is recovering from mites he had them about 3 weeks ago, and now seems to be alot better but, the only thing is he had a very prominet backbone has any one seen anything like this, he eats very well and drinks good too thanks for any help.

How long have you had the snake? How old is it? Was the backbone prominent when you got it?
Is it still? (you said "he had a very prominet backbone"...which suggests that he no longer does).
It is not unusual for very young, thin, or dehydrated bloods to show a somewhat peaked spine - the answers to the above questions, and a pic or two (if possible), will help decide if it is anything to be concerned about

hey my python just got over mites and seems to be doing very well eating and drinking good. the only thing is that he seems to have a very prominet backbone has any one seen anything like this b4? thank you

I am lost here...you asked the question....and Harald tries to help you(and probably can offer you some great advice, especially with bloods) and you ignore his question and post the same thing again???? If you post a pic or two and provide a little more background as asked its easier to help you out. Dan M.

Dan, that was my doing - David started a new thread, saying the same thing...rather than delete it, I just merged the threads.

David - I'm raising this one to the top, so you don't think we are ignoring you. I have other questions that might help narrow things down, but you can't seem to be bothered to answer the first ones I asked. :shrug01:

David,
You said that her temps are around 90s on the warm side, around 80s on the cool side.
How are you measuring temperatures? (or are you guestimating)
What type of enclosure is she in, and what type of heating device is used?
What are you using for substrate, and what is the humidity level?
What are you feeding her and how often?
Are the mites totally gone?

of course im measuring her temp is 91 on the hot and 82 one the cold i also use a undertank heating mat just on about 10 gallons of the tank on the cooler side its a glass enclosure with a screen top half wrapped with Saran wrap to help keep humidity the substrate is half news paper on the hot side and the cooler side is Cyprus mulch i try to keep the humidity at about 50-60 % by daily misting.... i try to stick to fresh killed unthawed rats every sunday. the mites are all gone none on her at all.

gosh now is says that the resolution is to high it only takes like 800x1024 or sumthin like that how do i fix that??????
