In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Been researching and sorting through all the drivel on the internet to come up with the hierarchy of Boas. I am lacking acrantrophis, (for now) but wanted to make sure I had the rest in there. Any help, or corrections is welcome. Especially from some of you smart guys.

Suborder Serpentes Linnaeus, 1758 -- Snakes
Infraorder Alethinophidia Nopcsa, 1923
Family Boidae Gray, 1825 -- Boas, Boids
Subfamily Boinae Gray, 1825 --
Genus Boa Linnaeus, 1758 -- Boas
Species Boa Constrictor Linnaeus, 1758 -- Boa Constrictor
Subspecies
Boa constrictor amarali Stull, 1932
Boa constrictor constrictor Linnaeus, 1758
Boa constrictor imperator Daudin, 1803
Boa constrictor longicauda Price and Russo, 1991
Boa constrictor melanogaster Langhammer, 1983
Boa constrictor nebulosa Lazell, 1964
Boa constrictor occidentalis Philippi, 1873
Boa constrictor orophias Linnaeus, 1758
Boa constrictor ortonii Cope, 1878
Boa constrictor sabogae Barbour, 1906

Genus Candoia Gray, 1842 -- Bevel-nosed Boas, Keel-scaled Boas
Genus Corallus Daudin, 1803 -- Neotropical Tree Boas
Genus Epicrates Wagler, 1830 -- Greater Antillean Boas, Rainbow Boas, West Indian Boas
Genus Eunectes Wagler, 1830 -- Anacondas

Anyway, hope I'm not too far off on the way of things. This stuff seems to change so fast it's rediculous.

Thanks for taking a look,
Rick

YUP! I like that site, and used it quite a bit for most of this info. :D Pretty extensive data base aint it.
I was just wanting a check cuz they may not be totally up to date. I know some ssp of crotalus have been reclassified, but I didn't notice the change at EMBL.
There is this one guy who I bet would know. He wrote a book not too long ago. ;)

(HINT HINT) :D
