In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi im new 2 the boa world of morphs. Is there a boa morph sheet like there is for balls? If so any one have a link for it. I know the basic for morphs at least for balls. What would be a good boa morph 2 start out with. Looking for something at would cost like under 400 for a pair but that would look nice. My GF been begging me 2 get a boa or 2 so i though i would ask the experts first. Thanks for the info guys.

Unfortunately, there is no "World of Boas" website to my knowledge, but with some searching you can find the general morphs. There were a couple of other nice picture websites I'll see if I can dig up. These just have some nice pictures and descriptions for the mutations.

You can find a few of morphs at the price range you are looking at - I agree with Philandas, definitely get a good look around and go with whatever you like best. We all have our personal preferences, but you are the one will ultimately be looking at it and taking care of it everyday. :yesnod:

I'm kind of taking the assumption you are interested in Colombian BCI, as these seem to have the highest variety of morphs. But be sure to look at other BCI and BCC as well. Gus has a great site here:

Also, just an opinion. If you have a preference for something that is out of your price range, perhaps start with just one boa and drop a little extra cash on it. You can save up for a male to pair it with later if you really want a pair - but I don't think its a bad idea getting your feet wet with something you really desire.

Thanks guys. Ya i had some hogs that i really enjoyed. Ya look are nice but I really just like all snakes. I would keep a hundred norm ball pythos if i could but in the end im wasting money feeding them and wont get any profet :( Ya was looking at the sunglow and moon glow (even though there not in the price range) i might jsut get a nice ball group going and then trade some 2 start a boa thing.

Part of the reason I started keeping BCI after approx 13 yrs is because I became infatuated with sunglows. Now, I'm not quite so enamored with them (mainly because so few of them look stunning as adults)...but I have grown to appreciate really nice hypos, even more. Simple; but the nice ones are just beautiful.
While there are a number of morphs and combinations, you will probably be disappointed if you try to compare that aspect of keeping boas to the ball python world - there just aren't as many fancy paint jobs.
It really depends on what you like...and, as previously mentioned, you don't have to get both at once. In fact, if you are considering breeding them, you might as well wait until the female is 1-2 yrs old to purchase the male. She'll need more time to mature for breeding; and that will give you time to stash some money for the male you want

Yep was looking at that also. Figure we got a show here in the next month so might pick up a nice girl there 2 least get her started. I hear ya on the basic but nice. Once of my favroit balls and the one i plan on working witht he most over the next few years is the Ghost and Orange ghost combos. Just something about them makes me crazy.

Just start out simple with a het and an albino
Hypos,Albino and Sunglows can easily be had in one litter
Easily done for under $400 and a few years grow time.
