So, I had every intention of not putting any animals together until November/December, however, my two sexually mature females and my two sexually mature males were displaying behavior indicative of animals wanting to breed, so after talking to a few breeders, I decided to put them together (really still felt it was a bit early, in my opinion).

Anyway, I saw courting behavior from all animals, so I figured all was going well in the boa romance world. I went in to see my Albino and Pos. Het. Albino (really do not think she is going to prove, but still a little hopeful), in a great position. Nice to see, but not really the pairing I am most excited about.

Snapped a pic. Apologize for poor quality. They are from my cell phone. My digital camera is still broken.

So, after that, I looked down to where I had paired by TH Moonglow male and my Albino Pos. Het. Anery female. The first thing I noticed was that the cage was wrecked, which is not something the Albino generally does. The second thing I noticed was ... I did not see the TH Moonglow male.

I was a little confused at first, but then I noticed a lump in the newspaper. I opened the cage, coaxed the albino to the back and peaked under the paper to see a rather shy TH Moonglow hiding.

Lol Poor little guy seems intimidated. There were sperm plugs attached to his last shed, and he was courting her briefly last I had checked on them, so I figured he was ready, but I have taken him out now to get him a couple more meals before I pair them back up. I am hoping he is ready for her this year. I will be a little disappointed if he is not, but it is what it is.

Nice, it seems that because we are in Florida, we can usually start the process earlier because our temps are closer and such are closer to that of Colombia. Why didnt you throw the Albino with the TH to shoot for some sunglows at least? Are you just trying to prove the animals out to start? Wish you the best!
