    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

great idea, if u do the large boids thing and ur not to pricy u can expect a couple orders from me. I hope this works out because this would be a great solution.

The financing is all part of doing business. When running a business you have to have the funds to operate.
I truly dont believe a 100% payment is the way to go.
When beginning a business, you need to have funds in place, you need to have stock.
When you dont have the stock, when you dont have the labor, and you run out of funds, you dont stay in business very long.
I do appreciate the cage manufacturers are running a tight budget. It does seem a pretty labor intensive business,but what incentive is there for a manufacturer to get the product in the customers hands if the item is already paid for?
Does one pay the full price when ordering a car?
Or hiring a contractor? Would you pay them in full before they begin the job?
Paying 100% up front flies in the face of convention.
It's just not done...perhaps we than consumer can change the way they do business?
Then you wont see posts that read...

Although I understand what you are saying, it seems to me this is similar as when we buy an animal on-line. The seller has the snake (part of your purchase), but he still needs an adequate box and heat packs (materials), he also needs money to send it overnight (sound financial status), and he finally also needs time and personnel (himself) to take the snake to the carrier. In my opinion if a seller (of any goods) makes a committment and specifies a shipping date he should stick to it. If he can fulfill the order within the specified time frame of his/her TOS he/she should refund the money.

Just my opinion.

How many weeks has it been? You have tried contacting them several times, both on the phone, and email.
There is absolutely no reason for this kind of neglect in any kind of business deal.
I doubt anybody involved in this thread will buy from them. Atleast, I wont. I'd rather build my own. They may not look that great, but they are defenitely cheap, and I wont have to wait for years...
 
Your right mike it is getting ridiculous right now its at about 6 and a half weeks i have called them twice and sent 3 e-mails and one email was sent back to me and by the text of it it seemed like they didnt even read my email. Well im deffinately not going to be a return customer, i might of been if it took this long and they informed me of what was going on but they havent sent me anything on whats holding them up.
 
I got mine

I just got my 5 cages yesterday. They were shipped exactly 5 weeks after I placed my order. I was quoted 2-4 weeks, so 5 is a little long, but not too bad. I emailed Jeff at exactly 5 weeks to check on the status, and received an email back the same day saying that they had shipped earlier that day. I then emailed him again that day to make sure the accessories got shipped with the cages and he responded the same day. I also emailed him today to let him know that they arrived and were great. I received a reply to this email within an hour. Maybe your emails aren't getting through for one reason or another. Just a thought.

im pretty sure thier getting through because he e-mailed me back once but he hasnt ever since maybe the larger orders have more priority to him.....
 
I received my cage order a couple days ago and it is awesome.
I've never tried calling Boaphile but I always get a quick reply to my emails.

yes i am using that e-mail address thats on his contact info section of his website. The spam thing might have something to do with it but like i have said i've received one e-mail from him. If you would like to e-mail him for me that is fine and i would appreciate that because im not getting any replies.

Hey "Boidaddic14" not sure of your email provider (e.g., AOL, Yahoo, etc), but maybe try opening a new account with someone new...Hotmail.

It seems weird that everyone is getting a response, and you aren't...it could be your email isn't getting through.

But than again you did leave two messages. They could've at least returned your call. Maybe they saw this post, and out of spite aren't replying...just an evil thought :angry:

love their cages

i use them, love them, havent found any other cages as good, and for a good price (199 delivered? thats cheap)..it does take a little while for them to construct the cages, but good things are worth the wait..if they werent popular with people then they probably wouldnt have a problem trying to keep up with construction....i got a chance to meet jeff and joel at chicago, they were both great, and got to look at a few of their other cages and racks...i ordered a whole stack of 4 footers from them, they explained to me that it would take a few weeks for construction, to me its not a big deal..i got them all yesterday and i already have them set up and running...trust me, its worth the wait for them..when you order a cage, you can be confident that you will receive it from them..just be patient, rome and snake collections werent built in a day

Well Jeff i think was his name and seemed pretty pissed off about this thread and claimed i havent called him but im a forgiving person so i will say this, he was very apolegetic and he claimed that he didnt find our order till monday, funny how i got an e-mail about 3 weeks ago on the status of my order and how i seem to remember it said "Thank you from boaphile plastics for your order i we are being kind of held up on supplies and we our trying to get your order sent out as quickly as possible" funny how he says he just found our order monday but i got an e-mail about it 3 weeks before? well im not going to say anymore because my mom got pissed and i dont need another negative call from Jeff.

I'm kinda confused because you said that Jeff was very apologetic and then you said you didn't need another negative call from him.
Anyway, it seems like there was a miscommunication but I'm glad you guys are in touch now.
Jeff and Joel are really good guys and I'm sure you'll be thrilled with your rack when it arrives.
I hope everything works out ok.
 
wow that was a confusing post what i meant was he was negative about me posting on the boi although i was using it for what it was meant for but he was sorry that our order was "screwed" up.

I just spoke with your Mom regarding the rack that she ordered that we are going to ship to you this Friday. I am sorry it took longer to ship this rack than was ideal. Our computer did not send out an order confirmation that it normally does apparently because my Server's Spam filter stopped it. I do not know why this would have happened and am very troubled by it. I had not realized this and apologize for the mix up.

I had heard just two days ago that someone, apparently you, had started a negative thread regarding us on the BOI. This negative feedback apparently started before your first communication with us on Monday evening of this week. I had heard that the complaint had been made that we were not following up on phone calls or emails from you. I can assure you that until Monday of this week, we received no emails or phone calls from you. I really wish you had contacted us directly via our email at [email protected] or through the phone number you had called, also on Monday evening of this week. Our goal is certainly to please our customers and not to avoid communication with them ever. Such is the case with you as well. After getting your email on Monday and after a great deal of detective work we finally figured out what was going on and wanted to make sure that we communicated properly with your Mom, who had placed the order, and with you who had obviously been dissatisfied with our performance. I only wish you had communicated with us directly before posting on the BOI.

I can assure you that next time we will not disappoint you and if there is ever any reason that you might have for concern, please contact us directly before posting negative comments on the BOI where literally thousands of people will view and form opinions regarding information posted regardless of the accuracy or authenticity of that information. We will not be posting anything in response to your posts on the BOI as we talk directly with our customers regarding customer service issues and not on a public forum. Our goal is to serve you and provide you the products you ordered. We want you to be happy with our products and hope you will be, after you receive our rack next week. We will send your Mom a tracking number after shipping this Friday.

Well i guess this is finally cleared up although i did e-mail him before posting on the BOI but as long as i get my rack im fine...

Defenitely let us know how the products are.
If they are good, I might get lazy when the babies hatch and order a rack.
I'm building now, but if the season progresses, I'll be to lazy to build a rack for 30-40 babies.
