    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

It is YOUR choice to come here or not Anthony.  But if you can't follow that ONE rule about putting your full name in every post, then why come here?  

And as far as the Webslave deleting stuff he doesn't like to make the site fit his needs...I have yet to see that.  If a post does not follow the rules...it will get deleted, bottom line.  Although a few may fall through the cracks here and there(the Webslave is just ONE person after all), and they may not all get deleted right away, but if you break the rules, expect your post to go bye bye.  I DO find it ironic however that many of those who have something bad to say about the Webslave are the ones who can't follow the rules in the first place.  Wow, if you have something that important to say about him, why not follow the rules so it will stay up?

I honestly don't recall what your message said that you are so torqued over.  But perhaps 'neutral' means something different to you than it does to me.  When I said 'neutral', I meant messages that were in the line of "Does anyone know anything about Joe Blow's Reptiles Emporium?"  See, that is neutral.  Anything that adds some bit of information about someone else can be construed as adding to the conversation as supporting evidence, one way or another, and is NOT neutral, in my opinion.

I have no qualms about your staying here and posting your opinions and input, as long as you follow the rules and try not to give me more work to do.  This is NOT the only thing I have to spend my time on.

About my being fair, I am certain some people think that I am not, but in such cases they normally fall in one of the following categories:

(1)  They believe they know better than I how I should run my site.
(2)  They believe they are right about an issue and cannot understand why I don't see their point of view and delete the OTHER guy's messages.
(3)  They can't be bothered with reading the rules and believe I am prejudiced against them personally.
(4)  They do not comprehend the volume of messages I delete nearly every single day, and believe theirs are the only ones being picked on.

I have been lambasted for deleting messages, for NOT deleting messages, and even for deleting messages but NOT deleting others in the same thread that referred to the deleted message.  I have been accused of being prejudicial by leaving some people's messages while deleting others outside of this elite crowd.  And I have been accused of indiscriminately deleting messages for no reason, regardless of whom is posting them.

Obviously, pleasing everyone is an impossible task.

So if you feel that you can be of help around here to assist me in what this BOI is designed to do, then please do so.  But if you feel the need to engage me in a continual head to head to try to prove your point in public, flaunt the rules I have set in order to disrupt what I am trying to accomplush here with the BOI, and generally waste my valuable time, then please be on your way.

Take this entire thread, for instance.  Someone will see the topic line and want to read all that they can about 'Boaphile Plastics'.  Do you really believe they will want to wade through all of this crap as well in that pursuit?  This is the kind of stuff I have to go through with quite a few threads and try to weed out the chaff so that only the wheat remains.  I have to waste considerable amounts of my time so others won't be wasting theirs on frivolous messages that are completely divergent from the topic originally started.  But invariably someone will squeal 'foul!' when they find that their little peals of wisdom or humor got deleted.

Anything and everything I delete was, in my opinion, for the benefit of the goals and the direction of the BOI.  But I am not going to spend my entire life analyzing each and every message, and often have to make a snap decision about a deletion so I can cover more ground.  And yes, my pencils have erasers on them too, as I do make mistakes.  For those times it has and will happen, I apologize, but in ALL instances I did, and will do, what I felt was best.

I was talking to Webslave, not everyone else.  But since you chimed in, take a look at the post I started about Matt Martin "The Big Squeeze."  I posted at least two or three things without my name (I only used it on the first post) and nothing got deleted.  You can't tell me that it's merely a coincidence, that he didn't see any of those, but he did see the one about Jeff Ronne.  Granted, The Big Squeeze is a total jerk and nobody should bother trying to defend him, a rule should be consistent.

And that's not a few slipping throught the cracks, that's ALL of them slipping through the cracks.

Anyways, this is dumb. I understand the rules and I added my name to my signature, so I'm not replying to anyone else about this from here on out, so don't bother.  If Webslave has something to say, I'll reply because I want to make things good by him.  I don't owe anything to anyone else here.

I totally understand.  I don't blame you for being in a hurry and making snap decisions.  This post has gone to $hit and I'm tired of talking about it, as I'm sure you are.

I thought you were being biased and now that I think about it, even if you were, in some cases that's cool.  You should be more worried about protecting Jeff Ronne than you are about protecting "The Big Squeeze."   Jeff Ronne is generally considered a good guy and The Big Squeeze is generally not.

Well, I won't waste any more of your time.  I understand where you're coming from now, and if I know of something that I think would be useful to you or the other members, I'll gladly share it.

The only reason I'm responding to this is because you are the one responsible for me being here in the first place.  LOL

It's all good.  I just got ticked because I thought he was singling me out.  

As for putting your name under every single post.  The only reason (but an important reason) that I see, is so it's easier to determine which posts to delete.  It's just more efficient when it comes time to enforce the rules...I hadn't thought of it that way till Webslave pointed it out.

You said something to the effect that I don't believe in what I'm saying.  Trust me, integrity is a big issue with me (especially after seeing first hand how easy it is to get hosed on the internet) and I don't take comments like that lightly.  That's the only problem I had with what you were saying.  I don't want anyone questioning my integrity, especially someone who hasn't done business with me.

I think Jeff ronne/The Boaphile is a good Honest buisnessman. I have E-mailed him a few times,
not about buying anything .. and he got back to me that day,
so i doubt he would take much longer on porpose on someone wanting to make almost $1,000 dollor purchase on his product.
I am a active member in his forum,and plan to buy some cages and boas this year..
I think you should lay off him until u can give us some
proof that you did indeed make those phone calls.
And if it is the truth you did .. i doubt he didnt get back to you on purpose.. this thread isnt gunna stop me at all

Hello all,  I would just like to give a character testamoney for Chris Eaton.  I know Chris and collen very well and have no reason to doubt Chris's side of this matter.  I have known Chris for about 5 years now and have had the pleasure of working with and for him on meny occations.  For as long as I have known him he has been an honest and true to his word person.  He always gave me the benifit of the doubt, and was as fair as a person could possibly be.  I clearly remember some months ago, Chris joking to me that Boaphile Plastics wouldent return his emails and phone messages.  I am not here to trash Jeff Ronnie, but I am here to state that Chris Eaton is a IMPORTANT member of the herp comunity.  He may not be the biggest producer of whatevers every year, but his husbandry skills and passion for animals should be enough to get the service he deserves without a trip to the BOI.  Just my 2 cents.  Todd Dyer
 
I can't believe this post has gone as far as it has. People are being murdered, tortured, and being forced to live under such misserable conditions all over the world, and this post can go this long about 1 or 2 missed phone calls.  Has 9/11 been so easily forgotton?  It's not over !  A few months go by and we forget! If 9/11 occurred yesterday would this post even be here?
Think about what you're argueing about, is it worth the irritation?   It would be nice to think that the worse thing anybody has to worry about is the topic of this post. But it's not. Remember 9/11 and please pray.

First off.. I have never bought a cage, rat or boa from Jeff Ronne. I have dealt with him on occasion on inquiries which have ALWAYS been handled in an immediate fashion. There's no doubt that Jeff is a very busy man. Due to such, sometimes it can take more than a minute to respond to an inquiry. If you did not receive  an answer to a phone message...shoulda gone to email. That would have saved you a lot of grief and all your typing time could have been put to better use rather than trying to expose such negativity against a well known and respected person in the herp world.
Time to agree to disagree and move on in life....
 
Ok I have to add a few things.  I used to work for Dell in Technical support, so I know a bit about the company.  Here is a quote from one of your posts:  "What if i called up DELL and I wanted to order a computer, would the Dell guy tell me he lost his only employee and I cant have my computer? No, he would find a way to make it happen."  Lets see...Dell has a couple HUNDRED THOUSAND employees world wide....Jeff Ronne....Oh it is only him and maybe his son when he has the chance to help.  So you are comparing a one man operation to a major corporation? Using Dell as a comparison is just stupid.  
BUT, putting that stupidity aside, just in case you don't know, once in a while even the mighty Dell Computer Corporation runs into a snag.  There are things right now that you can't order from Dell because they are in high demand and are not available to order because the supplier can't keep up with the demand.  There are components on backlog lists all the time.  Specific components sometimes aren't available and orders are put on hold for weeks or even months.  Patient customers WAIT for what they want, impatient ones either change their order or go somewhere else.   If they can't get the part, they can't get the part, they don't make excuses, and they don't "make it happen".  You deal with it or piss off.  I worked for them for 4 years, I know.   I have taken numerous phone calls from little whiners like you who have nothing better to do than complain about something that no one can fix.  If one man can make as many cages as he does, breed the number or rats he does AND breed boas, NOT TO MENTION take care of the cleaning of all the cages that he has to, ALL BY HIMSELF and maybe one helper...  if one man can do all that and his only "shortcoming" is not having time to be a phone operator then I think the man is a god.  
If I was Jeff Ronne I wouldn't even post my phone number, I would make orders come thru email so that pompous ignorant people don't post useless crap like this.

Just stopping in this post again..As I had been reading thru some back posts and found THIS ONE

NOW IF THAT POST DOESN"T SHOW JEFF's STYLE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE....there's nothing that could match such.
I'm going into the background again...hehe....
 
I know that this thread is kinda old but I want to add my good experience with Jeff to the list here.  I ordered videos from him some time ago and he told me they would be shipped on a particular day.  One week later I had not recieved them and wrote Jeff an email asking him what happened.  Jeff responded IMMEDIATLY and mailed another set of videos to me.  They arrived two days later.  Funny thing is...the second set arrived the very next day postmarked the original day that Jeff said he would ship them.
That is customer service my friends.  Jeff had no proof that I did not have those videos.  He knew that he sent them to me.  He still sent me another set (which I promptly mailed back to him) at his cost, without delay.  Jeff has always answered my questions and never acted concerned about making a sale or digging money out of my pocket.
Jeff Ronne is an A+ guy.  That's not butt kissing...that's the simple truth.  With all the people in this business ripping people off, we need more Jeff Ronnes if you ask me.

I have to say my 2 cents as well about Jeff.  A few months back I emailed him about an Arboreal style cage.  At the time he had didnt have any and was not sure what we (the very picky Aborealsts) wanted in an enclosure.  He was very interested in finding out and we emailed many times discussing it.  After some debate about style and shape, I reffered him to several of the best Arboreal sites on the net.  I think he got more info than he wanted.  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>   But thats what it takes to do a quality market research on a product.  

Now he has the plans but is just waiting on the right time to start them into production.  

Talk about great customer service.  He went through all this to make and design a brand new style of cage just from an email, from someone he didnt know, asking him about them.  Most wouldn't even go this far.  Some would say sorry dont do those and leave it at that.  But not Jeff Ronne.  He is going to fill a void in the market with yet another of his quality products from The Boaphile.  

In short, he is a great guy and has great stuff no matter how you cut it, slice it, spin it, or dress it up.

Now someone, anyone go move in with him and be his endentured servant to get these orders filled so he can start on the new Arboreal Line.  PLEEEEEEASE <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
