Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

"Board of Inquiry®" is a federally registered trademark.

One point you seem to be overlooking, Deedle, is that this thread was created to specifically address the pages utilizing the name Board of Inquiry...did you ever consider that you're not seeing them because they have been taken down? (If not, perhaps you should - because it has happened.)
I cannot comment on the extent to which other pages might be impacted because I don't know...and frankly it is not my battle; but answer me one question, if you will: If the term BOI has nothing to do with the Board of Inquiry, as you claim, what do those letters mean - with specific respect to those Facebook reptile feedback pages?

I can attest to the fact that I was a member of at least one of those groups. There may have been more. In fact, I could have sworn it was more. I lost track because I get added to different groups daily. But they seem to have disappeared. Did they kick me when they found out I was once a ferret here, or did they just disappear because of the trademark thing? One will never know. I will, as aforementioned, attest to the fact that they were in existence, so your argument is invalid.

Names are interesting things mr. trowbridge. Did you know that Trolls were once known as trowes? I find that interesting. I also find it interesting, and rather damning to those who profess to seek the truth and claim honesty as their shield, on facebook no less, that posts can be deleted if enough complaints are received, if the offended are friends of admins, or if the person posting is not popular among the "in" crowd. You do remember when I was over there don't you, mr. trowbridge, when I asked how these things could be the norm and still have any expectation of either fairness or clarity? It was about that time that I was removed from the group. Interesting isn't it, that when the very integrity of you and your pals was called into question in public the response was to remove the questioner. It makes one thing that some slimy backhanded things you wouldn't want your Mother to know you were doing was going on over there. You won't see that happening here, which I suppose, is why none of you lovely people hang out over here, where life is real.

You and your lovely and oh so honest pals have been spanked, more than once. I suspect more spankings are on the way.
 
I filed a trademark infringement claim with Facebook. If the past is any guide concerning this, the page won't be up for long.

Appears it's mostly for revenge/acting out against people he doesn't like though... all the "members" of the group were added by him, and he seems to want them to react strongly to being associated with something of his.

Mr. Sloan's attempt at abusively using my trademark has been removed by Facebook.
 
It looks like Mr. Sloan is not happy about this....

I wonder if this would constitute any conditions of release due to his previous guest stays with the prison system... that is certainly an imminent and physical threat to your person, wouldn't you say?
 
It will be unfortunate for those people to lose their groups entirely if Facebook needs to get involved in a trademark issue concerning the ill conceived choice of name their group's creators decided on, ignoring ethics, common courtesy, and federal law concerning trademarks. That seems to be Facebook's policy: simply remove the group or page without the option of changing the group's name after the complaint has been filed with them. If some people wish to infringe on a trademark and refuse to recognize what a trademark is all about, and save their group by simply changing the name, then I guess that is their choice to make. I HAVE to make every effort to protect my trademark, otherwise I lose my rights to it.

So they can consider this notice here as fair warning. I'm sure many of those people are now aware of this issue, and I'm just glad to see that Facebook is not a safe harbor for those who want to flaunt the law.
 
Seems the "main" "BOI" group on FB is still using the moniker, even though it is now properly trademarked and registered with USPTO... can we look forward to that group being shut down sometime soon as well? :)
