In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I purchased a 1 year old male Suriname from Bob Futo last January. Unfortunately, Bob and I focused so much on the weather and my work schedule, Bob didn't realize the snake was fed a few days prior to shipping. We just had a really nice day/night for shipping and I was starting a new job where I only had a 2 day window to actually wait for fed ex's arrival. Well, this caused some unfortunate events to follow because fed ex was tossing the box as they brought it to my front door while I was cringing with every bounce. Really irritating me. I called Bob up right after I opened the box and the snake was still alive. He went to the bathroom inside the container. While talking to Bob and complaining about fed ex, the snake regurged. Bob felt horrible and then realized he should have never shipped the snake, especially with the way the boxes get handled sometimes (and this was definitely a badly handled box).

So, I waited almost 3 weeks to feed him, he ate and did well. The next time I fed him, he regurged but the power went out and the temps dropped the night I fed. Then, I waited again to feed him and then he ate well again. The following time, he regurged again but with no real reason. The whole time, Bob was very supportive, felt horrible, and kept telling me that IF anything happens, he will replace the snake.

It took until end of March, beginning of April to get this poor suri baby to acclimate, feel secure, and get the flora built back up into his system. By now though, the snake had lost weight because he wasn't eating well. The whole time, Bob and I stayed in close contact. Bob was wonderful to work with, even months later, while reassuring me that if this snake didn't pull though, he would send me another one.

The snake ate throughout the month of April with no regurges - even after the tornadoes struck my area causing me to lose power for 4 days and temps dropping into the 60's, this suri boy did not regurge. Made me really proud and excited that he was pulling through.

Now, it is almost August and this snake has not regurged one time since March, eats consistently, and building weight back on. I know he is pulling through and I still stay in contact with Bob filling him in on the no regurges and showing off pictures. He is still a little skinny but he is holding down prey that is much larger than I would like to feed him without any issues. Still feeding biweekly just to make sure he doesn't regurge though.

Honestly, this is almost August and I truly know that if something happened where is did pass away, I will have another suri sitting at my door immediately afterwards even though it has been 8 months later. I know that he STILL feels horrible about the shipping even though the suri is showing that he has finally overcome the regurging.

Who can ask for better customer service than this? He is awesome to purchase from and it is worth paying the little extra money to work with someone so awesome as Bob.
