Wanted to post about my recent transaction with Bob (Robert) Hansen.
I purchased a 2012 male Tapalpa Ruthveni from Bob to go with the two female Tapalpas I had received from Jeff Robbe (Shannon Brown stock).
Anyone who's been to Bob's site - http://www.sierraherps.com/ - knows that's he's one of the foremost authorities on montane Lampropeltis, so any king snake he sells will be an excellent representation of that species/subspecies and be feeding readily on unscented F/T mice.
Excellent communication both pre and post sale, as well as keeping me apprised at every step. It was actually Bob that brought to my attention that the package was late, and not showing location details on the FedEx tracking page (blowing a tire the previous day had thrown me off a little).
FedEx had misplaced the box somehow even though Bob had shipped two other packages along with that one that had already made it safe to their destinations out of state (Bob and I are both in California). Nonetheless, Bob and I stayed in communication until it was found and delivered (at 10:29 AM this morning). The male was none the worse for wear and readily took a F/T pinkie as soon as offered.
Bob also included a care guide, the complete feeding and shedding chart, and was easily one of the best packed boxes I've received.
Although I say I'm now through with my collection of West Mexican Tri-colored Lampropeltis, I know Bob will be the first person I turn to if I ever decide to get that pair of greeri.
So, please, don't hesitate to do business with Bob Hansen. He's exactly the kind of person you'd want to see in our hobby.
