• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

My advice on the question you asked is this.. take the box and your animals and let it be. You've done your duty by letting the world know about this guy and his shady practices with your order. Involving the authorities in something like this would be very serious.. and doing so should be reserved for very serious situations (IE: a dangerous felony in progress).

Mostly what comes out of investigations into things like shipping harmless reptiles in the mail is a big black eye for all the legitimate herp hobbyists.

You should be out on the highway getting tag numbers of speeding cars because that is illegal also.Get real.just dont buy from him again.If you report him and the media gets a line on it, it will read DEADLY SNAKE SHIPPED IN THE MAIL.We have enough problems with snakes in the news now.Terry
 
I completely understand, guys.

I'm sorry that I got upset, but you gotta admit I had every right to be upset. I've never had something like that happen to me before, and it is illegal in more ways than one.

What I was more upset about is the FACT that he admitted these were Washington rubber boas to someone else, and HE IS from Washington. Whether this snake is a WC or CB is beyond me, but it's illegal nonetheless. He's breaking many laws all at once.

I didn't report him, for the very reason that I am selfish and I don't want to get involved with the authorities or put the snakes life in jeopardy. I don't want to be blamed for a crime I did not commit, basically.

But seriously folks, regardless of what you think of my "freaking out" or not, this guy shipped illegally, and sold illegally. So I wouldn't recommend doing business with him.

And I do hope that one day he gets caught.
