In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Now that I've got an 8' x 3' cage for my baby, I needed to heat it. I had heard lots of good things about the Pro Products heat panels, and so I dropped them a line asking about heating requirements.

Bob got back to me as soon as he got back from his vacation, and was extremely helpful in e-mail and in a phone conversation. And when the product arrived (a 24" x 24" panel), it was definitely a good purchase.

Yes, these panels are a bit more costly up front than some of the alternatives -- but to my mind they're well worth it. And the customer service was top-notch. When I convince my partner that we need a couple more snakes, I'm sure I'll be talking to Pro Products again.

Could't agree more.
Not only are the Pro Product heat panels great (they don't have that stupid lip snakes like to get up on like the Helix ones) but Bob is fast to respond and takes time to talk to the customer.

I have been dealing with Bob for several years and have always found him to be easy to deal with and a total professional.

Definitely one of the good guys in the business

Bob's a good guy!!!

I have bought 18 heat panels and 2 misiting systems from him and they work great.

I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Bob last week just talking about the reptile biz among other things.. Very intelleigent person to say the least... I wouldent hesitate to buy a thing from him or his company...

I, too, have purchased heat panels from Pro Products. I have been very happy with them (though I only have 10, lol), and Bob has been great to work with...just don't mention the words FlexWatt or Calorique, lol.

And a Follow-Up

After getting the heating panel, it took me a couple weeks to get it installed. (I took the short bus to shop class when I was in high school, and have carpentry skills which are limited to say the least). However, I finally bit the bullet, got out the drill and installed my 24" x 24" panel in Lakshmi's 8' x 3' cage.

Within minutes I had an *ideal* temperature range for a Burm: a 92* basking area and an 83* cool spot. And what's more, the cage has stayed within a degree of that range since I installed the panel. It's incredibly easy to keep your temps steady with this panel -- far, far easier than with heating pads or belly heat, IMO.

It also uses heat very efficiently. When I run my hand over the top of Lakshmi's cage, I can't even feel a warm spot where the panel is secured. All the heat is projecting down to the bottom of the cage. And it's rarely on: once it warms up, it retains heat forever.

This has also done wonders for Lakshmi's attitude. She's more active and alert now, and her appetite is even better than before (not that we've ever had a problem feeding our baby...). The panel was pricy (around $280 with shipping) but I can see right now that it was money well spent. Between the savings on my electrical bill and the benefits to Lakshmi's well-being, I'm an Extremely Satisfied Customer.

I agree with everyone. I talked with Bob for about a 1/2 hour at the White Plains show this weekend.Very nice guy and very well spoken. The main thing i liked is that HE KNOWS HIS PRODUCT inside and out. Ill be doing business with him soon
