Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i talked to paypal and hopefully going to get the first half of my money back in a few days, and they said to call my bank to try and get the second half back, on the other hand i found somewhere else that has red tegu's for a good deal so hopefully all turns out good, and good luck to everyone else with dealing with him, I really hope he gets what he deserves.

If it was 1 or 2 transactions maybe if he made those right some would forgive him. thats not the case at all. there are many many people that have been screwed over by Bobby Hill going back to 2011 or further.

He continues the scam by accepting 2013 deposits.
 
I read through this whole thread and figured I'd register and throw in the fact that I am still waiting on an argentine b&w that was paid in full as soon as they hatched. He fails to answer phone calls, return calls, or answer a single email. It's been 3 weeks since he told me he had 400 left to ship and would have them ALL out by october 1st. Since they I heard nothing. I have asked for a refund and still got nothing. I haven't established a plan of action, I just thought I'd add to the long list of people he has scammed out of money.
 
I've heard that quite a number of people have filed IC3 and that he is being investigated. The more complaints, the higher the priority. According to a FL FWC friend, IC3 info is shared with other depts. It is also advised to contact yours and his local law enforcement.
 
I'm filling out the ic3 now. I'm gonna contact his and my police as well as my bank and have them get my money back thanks to fraud protection.

On another note, does anyone know another breeder I can get an argentine b&w from?

Alright I got it, sorry. Will filing with PayPal do any good if it's outside of their time frame? Will the open up an investigation since fraud going through them makes them look bad to some people?
 
wow sad to read this. over the years i've had multiple absolutely flawless transactions with Bobby. Often there were extras in the box when it arrived. He usually exceeded my expections.
 
I have read many things about good transactions. He used to post to forums regularly. But now he's fallen apart when it comes to service and also is scamming now. It is sad, it sucks that we have to go through this just because most of us just wanted a tegu.
 
Bobby is really making me furious

I have called him 1000999999 times and I know he is there because it will be busy and then it won't be, he has caused a lot of problems with my wife and I because I wanted a tegu so bad and didn't check with my wife before I paid him soo she was so mad, it's not his fault that I didn't check with my wife but now he hasn't came through so, my wife is very pissed now because I didn't talk to her first and now he took my money and ran, but it means more to me now because he is taking innocent kids money, that they probably have been saving for awhile , it just saddens me , and taking money from our troops, I'm mean how low can you go,, I have called the jail out there and I have checked obituarys and everything, and nothing, so I guess he just took our money for his drug addiction

in april i paid 75 down and another 75 on july 20th the second i got his email saying they hatched. After all the research i had done i thought i had a good honest breeder, now this is the only time ive ever ordered something and not only didnt get it but didnt get a single penny returned. im so sad, all i wanted was a tegu. ive bought tarantulas lizards and snakes before and gotten them all. Bobby your a criminal, this wasnt a fall from grace it was a kamikaze nose-dive. and to evryone else im sorry but filing an IC3 is just a waste of time it wont getting anything done its just there to pacify you. All these innocent people were scammed and cheated and it makes me feel sick. all i wanted was a tegu :bawling: it was so hard to get that extra money to have it taken away.... first post on fauna in over a year so sorry it had to be this one.

Chad, Texas has strong consumer protection laws, read here:https://www.oag.state.tx.us/consumer/complain.shtml Pay particular attention to the Tecas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, which allows consumers in some cases to recover up to triple damages.

I am as upset as anyone else is over Bobby's actions and that he does not seem to be taking care of his customers and honoring his obligations. But that does not mean he is a drug addict and there is no proof of that. I think it is OK to be upset, and say so here, as loudly as you want. I don't think it is OK to start making stuff up, that isn't ethical.
 
I agree, I wouldn't start making up rumors or anything. That won't help anything and just isn't necessary. I hate him just as much as anyone else that got scammed. I filed with the doj and an ic3. That wasn't to get money back, just to maybe prevent it from happening to others. I also brought it to paypals attention. I filed fraud with my bank and they are refunding my money. That's your best bet.
