    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

please take the conversation/questions about caring for your lizard to the discussion forum or to PMs. if something happens to your little one and discussion goes back to the deal with Bobby then that can be in this thread but otherwise it's starting to get off topic.

All the posts I've seen, from people who just got their tegus, seem to be expressing a similar sentiment: the babies are unusually small, considering that his own clutches were supposed to have hatched months ago. Considering that, it's hard not to be skeptical of their origin. Are these actual Varnyard tegus, or just whatever nameless wholesale animals that he could scrape up at the last minute? He maintained so little credibility and integrity, that even when he does seem to finally follow through, a lot of doubt remains.

I'm guessing that you've tried to contact him, and received no answer or reply? As Nick pointed out, your best bet is to leave it alone so it can acclimate with as little stress as possible. Try not to do anything that'll give Bobby some excuse to hide behind, to slime his way out of fixing the issue.
 
wow i was waiting to see what would happen didnt want to call him but after that video its hard not to dial right now for a refund ill be calling him tomorrow and im gonna keep calling til he answers. that tegu looks wild caught and paraplegic and no way born in july as he notified evryone i was really thinking we all just were at our breaking point and he was finally getting them to the people now i dont know if id take it even if he called right now
 
worst yet are all the people who keep saying hes good and they got theres. these people are the biggest fools because there enabling him to continue his ways with other perspective buyers. so sad

That is HORRIBLE. That poor baby, that poor buyer. I just want to cry. WTH is Bobby thinking?
 
That crippled up tegu hatchling should have been culled in that condition not sent out to a customer.

Bobby Hill has taken it lower than low at this point.:(
 
Horrible. Well I assure you that was not born in July. Make sure he is the only reptile in the room his cage is in, you don't know what conditions he may be able to transmit. Quarantine for 3 months, if you are going to try to raise it. keep the temp up, and the uv on. would not hold it, at all, until something is figured out. write it off as a loss and go spend an extra 50 dollars and pick out your own tegu . Booby did you dirty.
 
Yeh it is very sad, I hate looking at the little guy, and my wife wants to keep the him and raise him, but I don't know if he is suffering or what, she just keeps saying that people have dogs that can't move there back legs, and that it would be mean to get rid of him, bobby really messed up here, I'm not done with him, AT ALL......
 
I have multiple reptiles with crippling ailments; Snakes with kinks, lizards with MBD, as most can still live a good life. Under no circumstance should you send it back to that scum bag, he would have no use for it. That video says a thousand, no, a million words. Please tell me what you decide to do with it. It can still make a interesting pet, to say the least. ;) conversation starter, ya know?
 
U r right, bobby doesn't deserve any animals, he is cruel and if he decides to eat and stuff ill probably just keep him, I wouldn't want somebody to give up on me, and my wife already loves the little guy.. Bobby hill is garbage and I hope he goes through alot of crap, for a long time

Chad I am glad you are not sending him back. I think it is awesome that you and your wife are willing to keep him. It is obvious you put a lot of time and thought into his setup and that he has a good home with you.
I am not an expert but did a search and some rear leg paralysis has a possibility of reversal. But I'm not a vet and do not know why your lizard is paralyzed.

The lizard should not have been sent out in that condition, I think you should notify Bobby even if you have decided to keep it and request that Bobby pay for a vet visit for your little guy.
 
Wow Chad I am so sorry about your little guy. We got ours yesterday also, it is about the same size with that much green. There is no way they are from July, I am even wondering if it is an extreme now. I really hope your little guy pulls through and he recovers.
 
At least two people have stated that there's no way the tegus received were from July. I'm not saying they are...but I don't think there are very many people in a position to state that they aren't. Yes, they're small & have a good bit of baby coloration; but growth is dependent on a few different factors...not the least of which is feeding. IF (note that I used a "big if") Bobby was telling the truth about health problems, it isn't far fetched to think that the babies received sub optimal care for at least a period of time. Unless somebody comes forward to show that Bobby recently purchased babies, (or anything else to substantiate ideas that they are not what has been claimed,) then it's nothing more than conjecture.
Of course, Bobby has been stringing people along for a while, and this is the first offering of a possibly valid explanation from him. Unless the health issue has been ongoing, it will be tough to defend how things got to this point...and, if it has been a prolonged issue, then an honest explanation should have been offered instead of excuses.

Best of luck to everybody receiving animals. I hope it turns out that they are both healthy, and what was paid for. Sorry to see the condition of your tegu, Chad - you should definitely make Bobby aware of it. You might not get a response, or you might get told :censored::censored:; but, IF he is genuinely trying to take care of business, he deserves a chance to make this right.
 
The video is pitiful. definitely should not have been shipped in that condition, IF its even actually from varnyard. I have not yet received a phone call or anything so i am still waiting. not holding my breath, but just hoping. I already planned for the worst, it can't go anywhere but up from here
 
I think he probably just found a couple of tegus to make a few of us happy, this is NOT one of the famous dog tamed varnyard tegu, he is a sweet little guy but bobby defiantly did me wrong, I've learned a lesson for sure ,, I hope everyone else learns one as well , thanks for all the help and thoughts
