    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Bobby Hill - Varnyard Herps: Buyers Beware.

Since these commercial transactions are taking place across state lines, I believe this will be a federal matter instead of state issues.

There are no federal questions involved, it is a consumer matter, and while there is diversity the amount involved in this particular case is not high enough to bring the issue into federal court. I believe a small claims/state consumer action would be appropriate.
 
There's a good chance something will happen with him. The govt takes Internet fraud very seriously. I think we will be able to do some good here. Save lots of people some money and headaches
 
bobby hill is a fraud!

I am a first time buyer from the reputable Bobby Hill & have been taken for $150! I payed my deposit VIA Paypal last summer b/c the 2011 hatchlings were sold out. After paying my $75 deposit & waiting til June 2012 I received 2 or 3 emails/Paypal requests for the remaining balance which I payed in full that week (June). With no response after multiple emails, I finally got a call back from Mr Hill (after the 2nd phone message I left) only to be told the weather did not permit live shipments through the postal service. I accepted that through no ones fault, my tegu would be delayed but was assured by Bobby himself that he would call personally to let me know when to expect delivery. It is now October 20 with no return email or phone call to the many I've sent!!!!!!! Varnyard herps is a FRAUD!!!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE INQUIRE OR PURCHASE FROM BOBBY HILL!!!!!! Looking @ many other posts online, Mr Hill has apparently made quite a profit this year on stealing from unsuspecting buyers. I have saved all my emails/correspondence & Paypal receipts & am eager to turn them over to the appropriate channels to insure that he doesn't do this to anyone else. Does anyone know the next step to take to prevent this man to scam anyone else again?
 
I accidentally posted my previous post in the wrong spot I think. I am new to the forum & registered with the sole purpose of exposing Bobby Hill's varnyard herps as a scam.

Thanks for coming forward Andrea.

Hopefully everyone that is telling their story about the bad experience they had with Bobby Hill/Varnyard herps will warn fellow herpers and keep them from getting screwed by this dishonest business person.
 
He is also advertising for the 2013 breeding season on his website & using a different email address on the website for contacting! There's some talk on Tegu talk forum about Bobby changing his site name & address also. Very suspicious!
 
You can no longer find the Varnyard Herps site, it's changed to Tegus for sale & listed with the new email contact & advertised as Varnyard Stock Tegus for Sale

i dont know if anyone else can confirm this but i already knew he had two sites in april when my deposit was made also thats the phone number and email address ive always had. lastly you can also try [email protected] thats the email that he had attached to his paypal before he removed it from the site. and i saw that he last logged into reptilegeeks.com on 10/5/2012.

tomorrow im going to try calling him if i dont here from him by noonish. i still just dont get how someone with years of good business can just all of a sudden turn criminal and think he could get away with it.. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but his silence is troubling.. still hoping i might get ahold of him and get what i paid for.

ps varnyard-herps-inc.com still works for me as does tegusforsale.com
 
called twice today no answer and couldnt leave msg because it was full if i cant get ahold of him soon i guess ill have to file one of the fraud reports too....
 
chad posted on tegutalk today that its still dragging its legs and still hasnt eatin since he got it.

i have called twice from my phone tomorrow im gonna try from another number to see if he answeres. ive gottten nothing and no word or email. i ordered a reg
 
from what i can tell he sent a few out last sunday and no one came forward this sunday so i dont think hes sent any
 
Mine did finally eat a little bit yesterday (very little), but I am thinking he is maybe trying to hibernate? he isn't coming out and isn't interested in food.
 
You're not the only one. I'm out $150, myself. I repeatedly emailed and called Mr. Hill without success. Additionally, because my deposit and follow-up S&H fee are more than 45 days old, Paypal won't do anything about it. I may never get my $$$ back but I aim to be a permanent thorn in Hill's side. I posted my experience on Repticon's FB page, hoping to warn anyone who wanted to do business with Varnyard Herps.
