Tell him to start speaking up once ALL his debts have been paid and he can prove it. Otherwise, he's wasting his time thinking he's going to pull of any sort of legitimate business without catching flak. I want to start off by saying that I am not trying to cry the blues and not looking for any pitty from anyone, this is strickly a dirrect apology to those that I have done wrong to!

Well here it goes,

I'm trying as hard as I can to make good on all the wrong I have done in the past. I want to thank a good friend of mine Neil Gubitz for helping me go through the last few years of my life that I have gone through. The last couple of years have been really rough for me in NY, between business, faimily and other problems I have had in the past, I have decided to move down to florida to hope to start a new life and move on as we all know. I know there was a LOT of mistakes that I have done and want to make good for all of them one at a time. I want to publicly appoglize to Mark Westburg and Mike Meade that I am SORRY for what has happened and that it took this long for me to see my mistakes, and to all others out there that I have caused any harm to. If there is anyone else out there that has any problems on old dealings with me, please come forward and I will try my hardest to resolve it ASAP. As far as the Kevin Hood situation goes , I have asked him over and over again to show me and everyone else out here proof that those animals were indeed mine and some pictures to back them up, and that I would make good for them even tho it took him 8 months to contact me. I have emailed him asked him many of times to show me but he always comes back on here and twist the story around and AGAIN of course Sal is the bad guy. Here is a copy of the email that I sent to him today asking him AGAIN for the info, which obviously of course he forgot to post, (how convenient of him).

Like I said in the past BOI statement, I am NOT refunding you any animals nor are you getting a dime from me.!

1st it took you over 8 months to contact me regarding anything about any animals being sick or so called “dieing” , and please for the life of me don’t say that you’ve “TRIED” you contact me, when my emails were getting to me for at least 6 months while I was in Florida.

2nd If the snakes you say were “mine” that were dead, dieing, IBD or mite infested so you say, why didn’t you at least take “one” picture out of 29 or so snakes that I sold you. (just doesn’t ad up)

3rd Yes you did send me some vet bills but on the bills all it says is a snake “number” 101 or what ever, has been treated with some medication and had “IBD”. (1) It does not say what kind of snake, (2) How can you say that the snake or snakes were even mine. And (3) If any one in there right mind would have to put down a hole collection of snakes, why were there no pictures EVER taken and wait 8 months to get back to the buyer. I’ll tell you why, you have been doing your home work and reading the BOI so much and said to your self , “self” I can try to make some easy money with this guy since he has a bad rap… WRONG!

Kevin, you have to put yourself in my shoes, I have NO proof that the snakes were even mine and it took you over 8 months to get back to me, what would you do in my position?

I know your going to copy and paste this and post this on the BOI, but from my point of view I owe you nothing, and until you show hard proof that those animals were mine, this case is closed!

I’m SURE that I’m going to get a lot of grief about this on the “BOI” , but if the shoe was on the other foot with the people out there, they would like to see the same thing as well.

On another note, and just to clear the air here, I have nothing to hide by changing my name over to Boca Morphs, if i was trying to hide the name, why would I post it on every ad on KS the new sight name. The only reason why I am changing the name over to Boca Morphs is that I am NOT dealing with the pet store animals any more, I am strickly dealing with boa and some retic python morphs only. I know that some of you are going to come back with "well he is selling $20 ball pythons and he is calling them morphs" NO I am not selling them as morphs. I have a fair ammount of Morphs right now as you can see on the Breeders pags of Boca Morphs, and that's just half of them. Someone has also made a comment or two that those were not my pictures and not my animals, well just send me an email and I will be glad to send you some how ever you like me to.

Well I think I have said all that I have to say right now,but i'm sure that there will be more questions for me to answer, so please all that i'm asking is that lets take them on at a time and they will be answered.

The pessimist in me says "Why the hell not? He's got nothing to lose." We'll ignore the pessimist for now.

The optimist in me believes that every journey begins with the first step. You've got a marathon to travel to regain respect in this industry, but it's far from impossible.

I hope you mean what you say. I look forward to watching your progress. It's in the best interest of the industry and hobby to have another person join the ranks of a good guy.

It should be pretty obvious that Sal only planned on refunding a couple of his low dollar ripoffs in order to salvage a little bit of his reputation for his new morph business. The people that he stole thousands from will never see a dime.

As the story continues.... This is Sal Tornambene from Upstate Exotics/Enclosures by Design.
First off, I would like to start with cudos for my good friend Neil Gubitz, and the best friend anybody could ever have. He has personally loaned me thousands of dollars to get me out of some pretty tight situations with some of my customers that weren't too happy with the cages they got from me. And he will be paid back every penny from me. I swore Neil to secrecy as to not divulge any information as to my whereabouts, and I thank him for everything. I was not trying to hide from anybody, just trying to pick myself up, brush myself off and get a fresh start in Boca Raton, Florida. Yes that is where I am, and yes, I am the sole owner of Boca Reptiles! Just to let everyone know again, all of my business transactions in the past have been fully taken care of, except for repaying Neil. I know a hand full of people have been saying alot of negative things about Alison and I. As far as the status on that situation, we have gone our separate ways, but who knows what the future holds. This is my personal business that I'm posting on this thread. In the past, Alison was the one who always responded to all of the old threads. For the second time, this is Sal Tornambene! One on one, I will personally answer ANY questions that ANYONE has in regards to my past. I'm up for the challenge! My goal is to start over and do things the RIGHT WAY. I think some of the people here are not seeing the forest for the trees.

It is counter-productive to try and chase Sal away with name-calling and juvenile taunts. In the one week's time that Sal attempted to make good on his debts through this forum, two people who were deserving of refunds, now have those refunds. Why would we want to jeopardize the possibility of any other deserving individuals from enjoy the same compensation.

Will Sal change his ways and become a "Good Guy" in this business? Only time will tell. But if for the moment, he is at least willing to make an effort, why would anyone try and discourage that.

In my mind, his motives are even less important.
Regardless of whether it is a revelation in his life, a reaction to peer pressure, or even a veiled attempt to improve his name for the benefit of his business, the bottom line is this: people are getting paid back on old debts.

I think it is also a lot to expect that Sal could repay everyone he owes in a short period of time. Few people in this business would have the type of disposable income to entertain such a undertaking.

I suggest we cut the man a little slack and let him continue on his current path. If he falters again, so be it. But if he even makes restitution to one more person, at least that person will think that this was worthwhile.

If he honestly wants to turn his business around, who are we to try and stop him!

Mike, you are certainly entitled to your opinion and you make some good points. However, I think Sal's attempt to make his customers come here and plead for their refunds so he can decide whether to give them back their own money is pathetic. Sal knows who he ripped off and how to get ahold of them. If he was a decent human being these customers would be receiving funds in their Paypal accounts and a private apology from Sal.

Sal refunded two customers relatively small amounts of money. When a customer with a larger amount surfaced he was told he wasn't getting a dime. Sal says he can take the heat but then he vanishes when a few people were skeptical of him.

We all mistakes and we all have deals that don't go well but Sal is different. He is a thief who has repeatedly ran off with people's money without any intention of delivering the goods or services they payed for. He has ripped people off with four different companies and is now starting his 5th. Someone like that is not deserving of a yet another chance in my opinion. I really don't think my words are costing anyone their refunds and I don't believe we should have to turn into Sal cheerleaders to get him to do the right thing.
It was his mommy's job to coddle him and teach him right from wrong.

I'll shut up for a while anyway though and see if he crawls back out from under his rock to shell out a few more bucks

I'm not suggesting that we nominate Sal for "Man of the Year", or even forgive him. Only time and Sal's actions will determine where he goes with this. It's completely in his court now.

What I am saying is that I feel that the most productive thing from the standpoint of the people here, is to let it play out without the constant harassment and name-calling. Some of the people with the loudest voices on this thread are not even owed any money by Sal.

I agree with you that the actions so far by Sal (including the refunds) appear to be self-serving. I, for one, don't care about his motives. I am not a cheerleader for Sal and have never had any dealings with him. But if he can turn things around and pay people back (even if it's just one more person) - I will support it.

His priorities suck and I don't think anything I say will have any effect on him paying or not paying anyone as I believe he fully intends to NOT pay most of the folks he's stolen from.

I pondered it before I posted, thought about his track record and figured he was just as full of it THIS time as he was ALL the OTHER times he's COME CLEAN.

Sure, even I, to whom he owes NOTHING, would like to see him make good. I'd like to see pigs fly too and figure I'll see flying bacon LONG before sal pays back what he owes.

Everyone has their opinion on this, and every other thread regarding Sal, and I have no desire to change them. I am not trying to champion Sal or minimize any of his previous actions. I'm simply stating that I feel that we should keep it civil and adult and give him the opportunity to continue with his current course.

I don't think any of us really disagree on this, it's just becomes very easy to get drawn into the feeding frenzy. Unfortunately, when this happens, we all of sudden end up with 10 pages of comedy, drama, & warning points.

Of course, it does help to keep Rich off of the streets at night!

Sal just bid and won a few auctions I had up on reptileauction.com. Not that he won these auctions with the serious intent of purchasing them, but serious or not I have refused the sale and explained to Sal why. I am sure in light of the recent attention I have given Sal on another thread he feels this is the best way to extract revenge....by disrupting my auctions.

Bravo Chuck. If more people had this kind of standard, it would have a lot better effect on these types of people. Seeing as how it is proven time and again, that people will continue to buy from these sorts, at least they would be effected on both sides of the equation. It would make it harder for them to have stock to sell to the people, who regardless of how big a scammer they are will still purchase from them, if the deal is right.
