In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Boi for outback reptiles

Outback knows of this and I've tried my dam best to get their help they don't wish to do anything.

Exactly what kind of help are you looking for?

The snake is getting veterinary care. That is probably the best thing the snake can get. They offered you a refund but you refused to ship the snake first. Just because they are not doing anything that you like does not mean they are not doing anything.

My husbandry is spot on but they continue to push it's not because I use aspen shavings and its too dry.
Spot on. where does it say 96 degrees on this post? Oh it does not. quite funny how you "forgot" to put that in there.

Return the pet rock for a full refund. You are not ready for it.

I would Agee to checkout anything they wish. My husband and I have spoken. I was rash in posting the boi and it went south quick now I have the info so now I'm posting here. Idc what they do financially for us at this time I want others to see that they refused to admit the snake is sick or was sick still even now

I'm leaning towards you being the bad guy here. You have no proof they knew the snake was sick when they sold it. They offered to give you a full refund if you send the snake back.

Send it back, and be done with it. Plain and simple.

Thank you. At this point money doesn't matter really I'm not getting g a dime I know thia. I want others to see how they conducted themselves. Even if that means people questioning me as a buyer so be it. I've done business with people who can say they have never had us complain. I've even let medical issues go in the past due to good customer service on the sellers part. How they treated me caused me to act how I did. I love my animals this caused a lot of unneeded drama.
They offered a refund.
you refused refund.
You say money doesn't matter.
so exactly what do you want from them?
what do you want them to do?

I want others to see how they conducted themselves.

They offered a refund. Considering that they are saying the snake did not appear to be ill when they sent it, and even you said

I have do doubt they missed the fact she was sick when they sold her to me

it is possible that the snake was not ill when they sent it.

And yet they are willing to give you a refund. To me, that is good service. I understand you don't want to send it back and that is fine. That does not make them financially liable for any part of a vet visit which may not have been their fault.
Readers here have experience and savvy, a loud BOI isn't going to suddenly create a Bad Guy when in fact it appears that Outback was willing to refund for a sick snake that they may not have sent sick.

BTW Unless for something else ... whups! Looks like she must have found her lost receipt.

Whups again. Looks like the OP still does not have the initial receipt and that the posted receipt is from a second visit (this time, per the OP, to the emergency room).

Or the receipt with today's date is a forgery.

Or the receipt with today's date is a forgery.

I suppose that could be a possibility.
After all, how did she pay that bill when the OP stated, before the ER visit, that she & hubby were flat broke until the latter part of next week? Even stressing the point of having to come up with gas money (should she have to make a trip, to the vet's, tomorrow).
Still, though a forgery could be possible, would have to find a "smoking gun" to say that it is one.

They are offering you a full refund. What's the problem. What more do you want???
This the exact type of company (outback) that you would want to buy from because they fully stand behind there animals. This thread was not warranted. I'm guessing now that many sellers are going to want to steer clear of you.

Ian has been in business for 25 years plus. There is a reason he is still in business. Happy satisfied customers.
I have bought hundreds and hundreds of reptiles from Ian over the past 20 Plus years. In my book he's the best you will ever find to deal with.

I've bought several snakes from Outback Reptiles, all of which have arrived healthy. The customer service I received from Mike was also stellar; they even held a ch baby for me to get her started when I voiced that I was pretty new to that.

I've no complaints about them at all, and I think Mike is an excellent frontman for their company.

I'm sorry you received a sick snake, OP, but it does sound like Mike/Outback Reptiles have tried to do right by you. If you're not comfortable sending the snake back, I don't know what it is you're looking for. Nothing on the BOI gets deleted, though. That's in the rules.

The post on the facebook BOI has been deleted or else I would be posting screenshots on here. However, I would like to add to this post. Last week they went to the vet AGAINST Mike Shultz's asking them to wait until the snake has shed out. She then lost the receipt of that trip and told Mike she was going to sue Outback Reptiles because they sold her a sick snake and she posted the FB boi without ever asking Mike of how this issue can be resolved. She completely jumped the gun. She wanted to be reimbursed gas, a vet bill (that she did NOT pay for, it was completely free), and the cost of the snake. After arguing with Mike on the boi the conversation was taken to a pm and the final agreement was that the snake would be shipped back and she would receive the full $125 that she paid upon Outback's receiving of the snake. Everything was fine until this morning when Samantha commented on the FB boi about her emergency trip to the vet last night (with today's date???) and total chaos broke loose on the thread. Mike told her that a refund is no longer available and that she will have to keep the snake because she has been feeding people lie after lie about Outback Reptiles. I think we can all agree to steer clear of Samantha Frock and selling to her.

Also, she bought the snake at a show, she had time to examine the snake and it's health was clearly visible to her. Mike stated that Outbacks TOS said that refunds are not offered for snakes purchased in person/at shows. He was going to go against company policy and issue a refund out of his paycheck, personally.

The OP also stated on FB that Outback tried to sell her a superfly when it was actually a super fire. Mike posted a photo of both those snakes on the fb boi showing that nothing was mislabeled and that the OP misunderstood.

I have to wonder if this whole thing was cooked up as a way to bully a discount out of Outback.
