    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello fauna members mods and owner. I wanted to see what the possibility would be of making a permanent sticky that shows up in all the classifieds sections warning buyers to protect themselves. Like directing them to the BOI so that they can make educated decisions about their purchases. Sorry if this has already been asked before but it seems to be a recurring thing that many people purchasing on here have never even stepped foot into the BOI possibly due to ignorance to what it is, perhaps not. Anyway I just thought it would be a good thing to add to help coral people towards the BOI so the can understand whatever risks they may be taking.

If they can't find the BOI while browsing the main forum, they certainly won't see a sticky post directing them to that forum.
 
This suggestion was actually made in the other current thread...and I agree with Shadera. There are already announcements about the Classifieds User Control Panel, and the full name/location rule - you'd be surprised how many people don't know they can manage their ads (or how), and I'm still sending out a bunch of notifications regarding name/location violations. Most people just don't pay attention to such things.
That doesn't mean I think it is a bad idea...just that I'm not particularly optimistic about its effect.

Gotcha didnt know i was beating a dead horse here.
 
I just joined like two days ago, and I had no idea what the BOI was, but after about a day I put two and two together. Then again it took me a while to figure out what GTP was. rofl, grand theft potato. >__<;

But yeah! No problem finding it, just took a while to realize what it was. :D
