    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just curious, as I am seeing more of this going on.

People leaving BOI threads for buyers.

Maybe it's just me, but other than "yay, they paid!", what else makes them a "good guy"? I mean, isn't paying for the animal(s) meeting their minimum requirement?

Just curious as to why someone would do this, that's all. Not bashing it in any way, I'm just trying to understand.

I also want to make sure I'm not short-sticking my loverly customers. I've always just left a trader rating for buyers, and have used BOI for sellers and trades. :shrug01:
 
I assume maybe the people who post good guy threads on buyers don't have a paid account, so because they can't leave an iTrader rating, so that's their way of giving someone a good review. But honestly, I haven't payed any attention as to whether those people have paid accounts or not, so I can't say for sure - but that's the only logic I can see behind it.
 
Perhaps if a buyer is extremely patient during a tragedy, for example.. when SYR stopped shipping snakes I'm sure there were quite a few very upset people out there... If you had someone pay for an animal and they had to wait for you to ship.. or... maybe they wanted you to hold an animal for a certain amount of time and payed extra to do so... something along those lines would be things that might be posted for a buyer on the BOI.. Or.. what Jade said :)

Hadn't even thought of those reasons, but they would be entirely valid reasons to start a BOI good guy thread for a buyer.
