    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Forgive me if this is n00b, I'm just in amazement of this. I have owned this Borneo (hatched in October 2011, so about 9 months old) since November. She has only excreted a handful of times, but hasn't for probably the past four months. I was worried at first, but after browsing forums and consulting those with more expertise, was reassured that this is normal for this species. They only shed and excrete a handful of times a year.

The question I have is- is this normal? Or rather, is this a sign of a healthy borneo? Any feedback with more experience is appreciated.

*note* the hide and water bowl were removed from the cage to take the picture and I cleaned the enclosure shortly after.

Goodness, that IS impressive. :rofl:

Looks well formed and all that, so I wouldn't think it's a problem.

That is pretty normal for those types. The consistency is good and well formed.

Wait till she is full grown... those are some MASSIVE poos.

It is common in captivity for bloods to pass stools like this. One of the biggest problems with them however is also constipation, because they are so sendintary. My advice is handle him alot, this will give him exercise and help him get him to pass bowel movements.

looks like normal stool, just giant.

handling and even soaking my coax him into doing his business more often. I only briefly owned a blood, but a BIG water dish (sometimes even placing a heat pad under it so the water would be lukewarm) will help him "let loose" haha.
