    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm aware of how it works thank you. It seems you missed the point of my post. That being: had any of us said the things he did(as we have been the last few days) the the emotional arguments of the reactionary would have countered with their tired montra; "it just don't happen in nine days".(as they have been consistently the last few days). Yet they see a mod post the same, and where are their quick retorts? His role in his post is irrelevant. The accuracy of the observation is solid and comical. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today of what?
 
Sorry Diem, I completely missed his post and thought you were talking to me. I'm going to go away now, there's some crow that needs eating. April, I couldn't let that one hang out there like that. I bit it in public, I needed to handle it the same way.
 
sorry but its not my name, I thought in the video didn't the vet say the organs were being sent out to be examined closer?

I know, you can pass him the message since you're speaking for him.

I don't even know that the video is a real vet. My eyesight isn't want it used to be, but what I could see didn't look like a laboratory to me, and did I see a name tag on the Vet's coat? .:shrug01:

What I am getting at is so quite a few untruths have been stated. I was interested to see if Lucille verified that those Vets actually did perform a necropsy...

and there's nothing actually linking THAT Vet report to THAT snake. I'm just SO jaded...:reddevil:
 
I speak for no one other than myself. Like you i have read this thread , and Im only stating what has already been said, nothing more nothing less.

I can agree to disagree with you, Im not even sure if Lucille could get info from the vet as doesnt a patient confidentialty exist?

Maybe you need to get your eyes check as you stated :shrug01:..jk As Im reading the same thread as you are. To say that that isn't a vet or a veets office is really streching it.

Ah well, it's just a thought I had. It may play out, may not. Just a thought that passed though my mind after reading this thread and taking into consideration the lengths liars and scammers have been willing to go though lately.

I could be entirely wrong...:shrug01:

Nope, they wouldn't tell me. The person who wrote back implied that something went on: "Are you the veterinarian who submitted this
case to us?"

It doesn't hurt to ask, sometime folks slip up and say something.
But I'm sure they are all getting an eyeful, I included a link to this thread :dgrin:
 
Just now decided to watch the necropsy videos. Interesting dialogue from video 4.
Tom: "Stomach look really bad?"
Vet: "Yeah, it does look like there's some ulceration, there."
Tom: "What could cause that?"
Vet: "Stress."

one thing I am NOT is a liar or scammer, check out my BOI if you would like too. Im just as courious to this case as you are and just want fair and expected resolve.

Whatever...I just wanted others to take a closer look at the videos. May reveal something, maybe nothing. I can only see, I could not hear the video.
 
My apologies Harald, and I will absolutely agree to disagree.
I did try to say several times I'm not a snake expert but about small mammals and people. I know not all of that is applicable to snakes, if any, but I was trying to say that lots of animals can develop illness due to stress and die very quickly from it. :( If that is what happened here, it's very unfortunate. Poor snake, either way...
I do hope Xavier and Brandon can find peace. I know if one of my snakes died, while in my care OR after I sold it, I'd be heart broken and depressed.
I'm still very interested in the vet report though. :eek:

Deborah--I wondered a little about that too, it being in a vet's office? Do vet's normally do necropsies or do they, like with human doctors, send it off to a special lab? With people it's the morgue and the medical examiner, but do vets do it for snakes? If not, we're not even looking for a vet at all to confirm the cause of death but the examiner :eek:
Very interesting thread so far but I still feel worse for the snake than anybody else. :(
 
many vets can and do preform a gross necropsy. The histopath and cultures are sent out, the reason for the delay in the FINAL necropsy report. Soem of the tests results can take a week or more for results to come back, and then are given to the vet only.
 
I just had this article sent to me http://www.reptilechannel.com/media/kid-corner/beyond-beginners/snake-anatomy-immune.aspx.pdf. The item of note for this thread being on the adrenals, as follows:

"About three-fourths of the way down a snake’s body are a pair of adrenal glands commonly called “stress glands.” These
glands are found closely associated with the gonads (testes or ovaries) and urogenital structures (kidneys and ureters). The
adrenals are pinkish, tubelike structures found adjacent to, or just in front of, the gonads. These glands are very important
and function similar to the mammalian glands. When a reptile is stressed, the adrenal glands produce corticosterone, a type
of steroid. This is important because the hormone suppresses an animal’s immune system, thus making it more susceptible
to disease."

Just a little more proof of the negative effects of stress and the need for proper acclimation/qt procedures. Well, if one is interested in the well being of the animal that is.
