In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I had previously emailed Brandon through Fauna (because it was through the "email" feature on the site, I don't have the actual email available) asking what he had available as far as wholesale beardies. Below are all of our email correspondences (I edited the personal info- address, number, etc). Basically, we had a planned ship date, I sent him both a shipping label, as well as the predetermined $350 through PayPal, and after that, I haven't heard a single thing from him. That was Thursday, December 1st. I have now filed a dispute through Paypal, and seeing as he hasn't even responded to that, as soon as Paypal will allow me to, it will become a claim. I just want my money back at this point! :shrug01:

Size doesn't particularly matter, but my max dollar amount is currently $350 (and I'll email you a prepaid FedEx label) for 20. So whatever sizes you'd be comfortable with. I'm looking for a male-heavy or all male lot if that's available as well. And I'm also willing to take nipped babies (as long as they're not missing a whole foot).

I could have 10 above 8 grams and 10 above 12 grams. Nice color, healthy and eating well. No nips, or limbs missing.

Okay, that'll work. About how long are they at 8 and 12 grams? Sexable?

Okay, that'll work for me. Also, the low for Thursday night here is 13 F. are you comfortable shipping in temperatures that low and do you guarantee live arrival? If you are comfortable with that I'll get you the money and a label sent tomorrow.

For the label, I need all of the information listed below:
Name
Address
Zip, City, State
Phone Number
Box Size
Box Weight

I do guarantee live arrival. I ship usps usually and spoke with them and they said im able to drop it off before close, and it'll be send same night. I can have them hold package for pick up at your main post office which I prefer so its not on the truck or sitting in office for long periods.

Okay, great.

I would prefer through FedEx if that's not a problem- they're more reliable in my experience.

I spoke with fedex and not real comfortable sending package through them. The warehouse is not heated and she said they're shipped like any other overnight package. Usps said they'll hold the package up front overnight, which is temp controlled. And if you pick them up there in te am they wouldn't be in the cold to long. I wouldn't be able to guarantee anything with fedex do to how cold it is right now

The weather here isn't supposed to get any warmer for at least a week and a half and I'm not comfortable receiving reptiles through USPS- I've heard way to many stories of lost and delayed packages. Yes, FedEx overnight reptile packages are treated just like any other. But they are also delivered much quicker. I usually drop off packages at 6 PM, and they're guaranteed to be delivered by 10:30 AM the next day- much less stressful and more reliable. With 4-5 heat packs in a 12" by 9" by 6" (or similar- that's just the size I usually use and have experience with) box they will be kept nice and toasty, even if they were kept directly outside in 15 degree weather.

However, I do need a live arrival guarantee on them. I can't afford to have these guys arrive DOA. I'd be willing to put a 25% deposit to hold them until the weather breaks, as long as you can provide a live arrival guarantee through FedEx. But like I said, the weather isn't supposed to get warmer for at least a week and a half.

I usually don't send this time of year due to the cold and don't have heat packs available. Usps delivers within same time frame. I've never had any issues with them. Fedex also requires you to be signed up with them to ship reptiles, which I am not.

If I had the heat packs and knew that the temp would be ok, I wouldn't have a prob with fedex.

Even if the temperature warms up a bit, they're still going to need heat packs...

Like I said, I've heard too many horror stories with USPS- if you want my business, send them through FedEx. If not, I'll go elsewhere.

And yes, you do need to be verified to ship reptiles through FedEx- that's part of the reason why I'll be sending you my prepaid shipping label.

Thanks,
Dillon

Attached are the shipping label, reference note (goes on the front of the package), and live reptile notice (goes in the package).

With the insulated box and 5 heat packs, they should arrive just fine. I'm getting the money sent right now.

Yeah, just tape on the label like any other package. And that depends on the individual FedEx- some aren't allowed to accept live animals while others are. If you call any local FedEx and ask though, they'll tell you which location(s) will accept live animals.

Did you get them sent out okay?

Dillon

Well, I think it's clear that you deserve the refund in this case and an apology about the inconvenience.

Does Brandon know about this thread? If so, he should come on here and explain why the delay. I hope the animals aren't stranded at a shipping facility somewhere!

And finally, I get a response saying this (messages read from the bottom to the top):

Oh, and now you have a nice "Bad Guy" thread on Fauna.

First of all, it's supposed to get down to 1 degree F. Monday night- they WILL die if you send them out! Second of all, that FedEx label is good for whenever, not just a single day.

Don't blame this on me that you didn't get them sent out- you're the one that agreed that you would send them out Thursday night. And then all of a sudden you stop responding after you don't get them sent out?

I don't care what inconvenience I've caused you- if sending out a couple of dragons during the Winter was going to be so hard for you, than you should have turned down my offer.

End of story, I want my money back. If you went through with your side of the transaction, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. Seeing as you didn't do that, I want my money back.

I already bought heat packs, printed out the shipping slip, and turned down calls that I've had. They'll be in the mail Monday. Wasn't nothing I could do without heat packs, you made that for Thursday before I even got BK with you about sending through fedex. What was it 3 a.m when I received the email. If not ill have to add the money BK to my account once it hits, I already had them send me a check.
Thanks, Brandon

And yes, as you can see above, he will know that this thread's here. :)

Sounds as if he has a "stall" tactic in place; I don't blame you for your decision. Even if he IS on the up and up, his current actions are now tainted by his previous actions (lack of communication.).

Hopefully, you'll get your refund.

After still having heard absolutely nothing from him since that last email, I finally received my refund from PayPal today.

End of story, don't deal with him- he's not worth the time.

Yes, very good news indeed! :)

But the money was only refunded via the PayPal "resolution system". Mr. Satterfield didn't do a thing to personally refund my money and I'm guessing that I'll never hear a thing from him. :shrug01:

All's well that ends well, I suppose!
