In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have heard from numerous sources that this animal is not real, rather it is photoshopped. I was also informed that this was not the first instance of this.

I have absolutely no clue whether this animal is for real or not. The coloration simply makes me want to believe it's real but it is so bright that I have to doubt it.

Interesting

I wonder if it could be one of those "gator aid" jobs?? I'm no expert when it comes to photo shop....but the eyes appear to be really strange for albino eyes....

Many people have requested additional pics but he has yet to show them. I would simply like to see it held in one hand out in broad daylight.

that looks pretty fake to me. it's so easy to select a sample area of a pic, then adjust the colors in photoshop...but if it's fake, it's a pretty good job because even the reflection is adjusted.

How long have the blood boas been in captivity? I know many have hets, but have they been around long enough to produce even a double het for sunglow X blood red boa?

I looked at his website once and if I recall correctly, he was calling his line the blood red hypo. At first glance, I also thought he was talking about a hypo blood boa, but after consultation with a top breeder in the industry and carefully rereading the info on Brasher's site, it looks like he just has some really red hypos that he has named blood red, not to be confused with the blood boa. I also have wondered about the authenticity of that really red looking albino. Griz brings up a good point about additional pictures. If there are any, I would like to seem them also.

Here are a couple more pictures that Brasher posted.
It's definitely a beautiful animal.

Are these pics of the same animal or does he have more than one? The last pic posted looks like a different snake than the pics of the snakes in the enclosure.

Thanks for the additonal pics Mike Greathouse. That is one cool looking snake.

I guess I will remain one of the skeptical one's. I still do not buy it. It's not that I don't want to believe in it, I most certainly do. There are simply too many inconsistencies and variables here that makes me go hmmmm....

color alterations

those last pics DO look pretty real now that I look again.

here is an example of some cool color variations of my hypo girl.
I really like the purple one LOL These were done with Adobe Photoshop Elements in about 20 minutes.

normal pic w/ no enhancement - snake is actually brighter colored than this pic w/ more intense yellows/orange/red
