In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Break in at Carolina Reptile Exchange (Bruce Eisenmanns store)

One more thing, the albino copper head belonged to the same person that Mr.Moody was talking("warrants issued and served") about on page 9 of this thread. I will not name him but like I said I seen the snake because he brought it to my house to take pics of it. I'm not sure where it was caught but I think it was in lower South Carolina. Not to sound like I'm back peddling but I think it belong to 2 people, ether way it was a albino copper head!

The albino copper head did not belong to Bruce it belonged to a friend of his. I seen the snake and it was an albino! I have some pics of it somewhere. I'll try to find them and post them on here.
Ok, but the ads were placed by Harry Eisenmann and the emails I received (and still have) are from him. I'd love to see your photos...I hope they're better than the intentionally deceptive, low resolution images I received.
So if it was a albino, whatever happened to it?
Based on further photos I got of the animal, it was a normal, not even as light colored or nearly as nice as some of the animals I have bred and given away to friends.
I can vouch for that:) This little guy is darker than usual (going into shed) but still damn cute. They're doing awesome by the way.

I trashed the photos I got, as they were just not-very-pretty pics of a perfectly normal copperhead. Waste of disk space to store them.

Glad the little guys are doing well. Want more? I am putting some of my Southerns down for cooling this year, though not as many as I could because there are so few homes I trust to place them in.

That ad was placed by Bruce, I seen it on KS and called Bruce about the snake and he told me he placed the ad for a friend. The same friend I get my rodents from. Then I called the person that owned the snake. I do know he sold it, I don't know to whom he sold it though.

Yes indeed. It was not Bruce's Snake. And it has been sold. Beth I personally took digital pictures of it and will try and post them up here tomorrow. Beth

You know, it is quite possible given the reputation of this con artist, that Bruce was trying to sell a lightly colored animal other than the albino that you have seen. I mean, would we really put it past him at this point?

Michael

Snows!!

I have written you several times about the Snows you advertised. I see that you are still posting messages. If you already sold them just shoot me an email and let me know.
Thanks,
Randy

I repeat: if there really is an albino copperhead out there, I want to purchase it. Please send me high resolution digital photos - snakegetters a*t usa d*t net. I am a serious breeder and collector of aberrant Agkistrodon, and I have the cash.

Hint: albinos don't have black eyes.

Subject: Message about: WHAT IS IT?HYPO?T-POS?ALBINO? ITS A COPPERHEAD!
Date: Tue, 3 Jun 2003 23:09:49 -0500 (CDT)

Hi,
I'm interested in the copperhead you have for sale but in order for me to make a reasonable offer I'd have to know what it is. In one ad you're calling it amelanistic and in another ad you're saying "what is it? hypo, t-pos, albino". In the pictures, it just looks like a really nice, light colored pink southern. I would be willing to pay good money if it's truly amelanistic and I may even be interested if it's just hypo but I can't make an offer
until I have some sort of proof what it is. A close-up photo of the head showing the eyes would help.
I have three questions:
1. Are it's eyes red?
2. Do you know the locality where it was found?
3. Where are you located?

Thanks,
Chris Raden

His response:

it was removed from a research pit with 200 others
no pupil is dark. there are 2 snakes in the pic both are definatly NOTnormal, the pink one has no black anywhere on it exept the aformentioned pupils ,the other is completely black, with hints of pattern
I an on the nc/sc border ,just south of charlotte,1/2 mile off interstate 77

When I requested to have someone come take a look at the snake in person before I made an offer on it I never heard from the guy again even though he continued to post the ad on KS.
He describes the other snake as though it was melanistic. There has only been one completely black copperhead found that I'm aware of. (it's photographed in Snakes of the Agkistrodon Complex and it was found in Chatham County, NC). The animal in his photograph was just a dark brown, ugly copperhead that had plenty of pattern (and I don't think any copperheads are ugly but this one was).

To clear up my earlier pos tI never ment I saw them in the Mangroves I saw them at a Serptirium in Kissimee and also a very sweet Albino cobra and that was well over 20 years ago when that happen on vacation with my parents then. Dang Im old now hehe

WHo also towards Jason I have nothing against you and never have. But I have applied with the state for a license and hell the animals may not make it anyways they did eat but are very dehidrated and as I said people here know more about this stuff then me and I learn everyday from you all but I also learn some can go over board pointing fingers. I never did anything on purpose to hurt anyone and Im sorry to all I pissed off

Tom

Hint: albinos don't have black eyes

I know what albinos look like! The one you are talking about sold for around 3000.00 dollars, I'm not sure of the exact amount. It was on display at a serpentarium in Charleston S.C.

Tom -

Going back to your earlier post.

Qoute: I never did anything on purpose to hurt anyone

Why are you breaking the law where you live by trying to sell venomoid snakes?

Here is the link for proof that :http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25699

VENOMOID Northern Pacific Rattler
Awesome animal, great eater, and relatively tame. Can reach in tank and get him right out no problems 90% of the time 10% he most be in bad mood hehe. 175.00 plus 35 shipping Email me at [email protected] if interested thanks for looking Tom

Tom McKenna has attached this image:

The law dosen't matter if it is venomid or not! It is conisdered a venomous snake regardless! Venomoid snakes when bred do NOt produce venomid they produce fully functioning venomous. YOU clearly have no concern for the laws. I wonder how you planned on SHIPPING the snake? Fedex or maybe Airborne? Since your ad clearly states shipping is only 35.00!

How you are hurting people - many ways but the most important one is this: Your disregard for the laws pertaining to venomous reptiles in shipping gives anmo to organizations who condemn the keeping of hot animals. You are the B grade class of hot keepers - exactly what we strive to prevent. Irresponsbile ownership - you do not deserve the right to keep these animals as you have no regard for the safety of others.

HOW DID you obtain your experience to began keeping hot snakes in the first place?

Beth

Pic of the Copperhead

If anyone would like to see the copperhead that Bruce was trying to sell that was indeed not his to sell I will be happy to email the Picture of it. I took the picture myself. However, everytime that I try to load the image it says it is too large. I dont know how to make it smaller. Or if anyone can load the photo for me I would be grateful. Email to [email protected]

The snake in MY opinion was albino even though the eyes are different in color I beleive it was T Postitive.

Beth

Hey Beth

Email me the pic i can resize and post it for you not a problem ... look my first postin this saga ... other then im keeping my opinions to my self lol .This is like a good novel

O.K. Now I will get involved! I'm Mrs. Rodent Lady to all of you that don't know me. My husband is the rodent man in earlier posts. The albino copperhead was ours and I feel that it was an albino. It had red eyes. The reason Bruce posted it for us is because at that time we didn't own a computer. The copperhead came from a customer of ours that I'm sure a lot of you know. Heyward Clamp. The snake was sold and we split the money with Mr. Clamp. Hi Paul and Beth! Great pic by the way! I am posting this without my husbands permission. I have been told to stay out of it but regarding the copperhead, I can't have you people making my husband out to be a liar. He is one of the most honest people you will ever meet and there are a lot of people out there that will agree with me. Thanks for sticking up for us SimplySnakes ans Joshua Brigman! Lisa

Beth

I don't plan on breeding or ever have any Venomous or Venomoid snakes ever again I got the Mangroves for me as I said before I saw them in Florida ant a Serpitirium in Kissimee while on vacation many years ago. And I never shipped the Rattler or at all it was purchased and picked up because I had no way to ship besides Delta and the buyer was relatively close and they picked up same with the Venomoid Cobra I had. And I do know Venomoid to Venomoid create Venomous. I may have been stupid with the Mangroves coming from ruce but I never did the shipping they did and as I said before I have applied for a license just for my Mangroves to folow the laws since I don't want to hurt anyone in the herp community or future herp community people. All of the rest ofmy snakes are normal Like I breed ATBS, and GTPS. And I also Have Hogg Island Boas. Im not a a&&hole like you think I have had snakes and reptiles for over 15 years. So again Sorry to all for my mistake with Bruce.

Tom

Tom you told me over the phone that you knew the anmals were coming in via fedex because whom ever you dealt with told you they had some special deal with Fedex allowing them to ship hots through the Fedex system. Then you come on here and do a complete 180 and say the were already on there way before you knew. To me common sense tells me not to send packages such as that through a system like Fedex. Granted i worked for UPS and have seen how these systems work so trying to give you the benifit of the doubt. Maybe I wouldnt have that common sense look at it had I not seen what I have. Aside from what "couldve" happened what torks me off is that you called me on the phone gave me one story and then posted another here.

Dude this past year I was running ads to trade feeder rodents for reptiles I had a guy email about rattlesnakes(what kind I cant rember) from WA state. Well I owe a freind of mine a few bucks thats lives in PA and has TONS of hot stuff hes probally one of the largest albino monical producers in the US. Probally 80% of the albino monicals on ksnake came from him. Anyway he was willing to take hots towards credit on what I owed him. I tod my freind what the guy had and asked what they were worth as I had no idea he made an offer. I spoke to the guy offering the animals, he told me what he wanted. Went back to my buddy and knocked a few dollars a head off. It was for like 20 or 30 snakes at $30 a head is what my buddy offered then I knocked it down to $25ea he told me there was no need to go any lower because he could easily get $35-40ea. I had a 200% mark up in those things at $25ea it was an awesome deal. I never even had to touch them because they were being sent straight to my buddy. All I had to do was ship a couple boxes of feeders. Well guess what the guy with the snakes after the whole deal was agreed upon refused to ship any way but Fedex. That was all she wrote, I was pissed. All he had to do was drop them at the airport and I had a good sized chunk of my IOU knocked down for practiaclly nothing. Its just a matter of right and wrong.

Dude I dont mean to be a dick I know you. The simple fact is our actions today as a whole are whats going to matter tomorrow. The peices we break and leave behind our children will have to put back togther. All I know is my son has it in his blood. He loves these animals. Hes only 2 his favorite toys are play snakes and some little plastic gators he has. When I am packing for a show and bring the real ones upstairs and he sees them, he just lights right up. He loves these animals he is truely amazed with them. And to think that someday the only place he may be able to see them is 3hrs away in a zoo, because of peoples stupid actions truely pisses me off. Same as many others, thats why everyone is jumping on you. Next time just think.

First off I dont think you have the experiance for hots but if your going to keep them find somewhere in MO to do so, theres no laws there against them and hell your only 5 minutes from the line. We keep all our big snakes and crocs in MO at a relatives house. We have an 11yr old here so theres way to many kids coming and going to have 15ft burms and 2-3ft crocs here. We got lucky with a relative that has a garage built in below there house so its easy to heat for the big guys but before we talked them into allowing us to use it, all they had was junk in it anyway, they were just leary about the snakes, wernt bothered by the crocs, just the snakes LOL ANyway point being before we got the OK to put them there we checked into renting a place. Rent over there is so stinking cheap its not funny there were places over there we could have made use of for $150 a month plus heat and electric.

Your disregard for the laws pertaining to venomous reptiles in shipping gives anmo to organizations who condemn the keeping of hot animals.
Not to mention all reptiles as well.
Tom
But I have applied with the state for a license
What permit are you claiming to apply for? give me the name of the permit and where your applying for it? Tom I am telling you there is NO state permit that covers hots NONE. Who told you that you could get a state permit for hots? Was it Gary? I only ask because Gary seems to be the center for missinformation around town. Or are you reffering to Chucks permits. Because yes he can keep hots legally however he is a college proffesor and can only keep native hots for research use only. His permit does not allow him to keep cobras or mangroves or anything non native. The only reason Chuck could get it is because he is a college proffesor in the bio dept. Even Chuck will tell ya that.

Tom I dont have anything against you but ya gotta think. We as reptiles lovers have to live with a parinod sense of fear. Its the idiot thats ships mangroves via fedex thats is going to cost us all dearly, its the idiots that walks down the street with his 12 burm thats will cost us, its the freaky old lady who lives next door that finds out your kids has a kingsnake and thinks there dangerous because she just got done watching a NG special on how the eat rattlers thats goes crying to the mayor that will cost us. When I lived out east dude I lived in the allentown PA area they called it the ABE area because there were 3 cities, allentown, bethlehem and easton that were pretty much all one big city subdivided. There was no laws against anything in easton, allentown only large constrictors and bethelehem all flesh eating lizards were illegal. Well no hots in any of the three but thats sorta a gimmy in any big city anyway. Beardeds were illegal, bearded dragons. Why? because some grandma took her grandkid to a pet store on feeding day one time. Watched some adult beardeds eat decent sized crickets and though it was the most vicious thing she ever seen. Now all that happened before I moved there so you know how storys go but thats was the one I was given and it honestly wouldnt surprise me in the least.
