One thing you brought up about thefts in general. You are right, it does pay to lay low. I personally go not share in full what I have. I donot post my address ANYWHERE, I do not post my phone number ANYWHERE. On the other hand, like I personally think we will find out in a different situation, it is usually people that know you who do these things.
I have only let one person in the place I keep my snakes and he was from out of state and well known.
There is only one other person who came to the location of the snakes and it was to pick up some cages a few years ago, but I did not let him in, we stayed outside and talked/made the transaction.
Just the precautions I take to insure the security of my snakes.

I power read most of the pages and have a much better understanding of what was going on. Anyone interested in Piebalds should think twice about buying hets from someone who isn't 110% reputable AND even then, guarantees don't really mean much! I don't know what to think about 'hets' anymore...they just lose credibility in my book more and more all the time as I read more scams and bad stories about them. Seems like hets opened up the door for unlimited scams in the reptile trade.

Its unfortunate that Kerry didn't come forward before page 30 (appx?) since most people probably only read through part like i did and then formed opinions on it...but i'm glad i read the whole thing now. There seemed to be two separate threads going on at once, which were thinly related (the one about hots' laws and shipping). Hopefully justice will be done to whoever (harry/bruce/noel) the heck is running that poor reptile shop into the ground.

It appears to be advantageous to keep a low profile as its way to easy to become a public target of not only anti-herp laws or groups, but continually watching for scum within the hobby, as if het scams weren't enough, now people resort to stealing from homes and pet shops AND possible insurance fraud too. what has the herp world come to?

You are right in thinking there may be two threads in one here.
I think the overall point of the whole thing is to show the many inexcusable acts that go on from that company/person.
There is no reason to ship venomous through a mail carrier, there is no reason to keep animals in the way they are kept, there is not reason to talk on the phone/emails as different people, there is not reason to sell something as one thing when it MIGHT be another, there is no reason to have things sent to you addressed to your father who has passed, there is no reason to tell someone you shipped and give them a tracking number only to be followed up with the fact they are shipping "again" and give another tracking number (that shows you never shipped to begin with so he lied), there is no reason for most things that go on at CRE/HCE/Digital Reptiles by Bruce/Harry/Noah.

You are correct, Paul. I gave my word to these people and my word is very important.
I have, on the other hand, emailed each of them letting them know of the Group that was designed. All I can do is use the resources I have to make people aware of the existance and go from there.
I know that threre are people that have joined and not posted. I emailed each of them as they joined to thank them and hope they do post. One person in particular DID have other important things to take care of in their family last night and insured me they would post soon.
I egt an email everytime someone posts and I am keeping track of how many people there are. Right now the numbers are nearly as great as that of which I feel it could be. All we can do is keep this thread at the top, make people aware, and go from there.
In everyone's time they spend talking with people, ask around. See if you know someone who has dealt with them or they know someone who has dealt with them. Get the word out and see just how many people come forward.

My name is Barry White. My name has been used on this posting. I have been reading and staying in touch with this forum. I am the person that Bruce blames for his animals getting stolen. I guess the reason for the blame is because I had been in this store almost daily for several months. I have purchased several animals from Bruce. I recently was laid off from where I work in Rock Hill SC. From that moment on I took my girlfriend to work and went to CRE to hang out, talk snakes, play with snakes, and hopefully send out some resumes to find me another job. I was never an employee of CRE even though for a short period of time I was listed on CRE's website as an employee. I wasn't going to post on here but when my name goes public as being an acussed I need to respond. All I ever did at CRE is try to repair cages, try to keep animals watered, and try to learn about new snakes as I am still new to the hobby. Bruce still tells me to my face he he is not acussing me but tells everyone else I did. I think I know why this is. I know pretty much everything about Bruce's operation and have found out a lot more lately. I can verify that he does use different names on the phone. Noah Wattanabe, Harry his fathers name and others. I can tell you for a fact that Bruce owned the shop and I have never meet Noah and Bruce owned the the 1.1 piebalds. It was a male and a female not two males. I can tell you for a fact he has never breed them to anything. I also had snakes to get stolen from the shop that day. I had five snakes in the store on consignment tring to sell them to pay bills. The police had no knowledge of this until 6 hours had past from the initial report of the store getting broken in to. And guess who had to tell them. Thats right me. Bruce had not even metioned my snakes getting stolen. Upon these were 1.1 burmese pythons .1 tiger reticulated python 100% het for albino and .1 normal retic 100% het for albino. These 2 retics were my last purchase from him. They were suppossed to be from Bob Clark. Well after the robbery the police wanted paperwork on the snakes that I had stolen also.Bruce never had given me paperwork even though I had asked for it repaetedly. Well during the couse of the police investigation the officer told me to try to get the paperwork. I in turn called Bob Clark. Upon talking to Bob Clark I found out that the snakes did not come from him. They came from Ken Masick. I believe that is how he spells his name. Anyway Ken bought the tiger from Bob and it wasn't a 100% het it was a 66% poss het. The other snake came from prehistoric pets as I am told. I have not confirmed this yet but am working on it. I paid $1500.00 and have reciepts showing what they were and now i am in the process about having something done legally towards Bruce for fraudulent activity. I should have posted sooner but wanted to stay out of this. And by the way Kerry is a real person. I meet him for the first time the night of the break in. But something I don't understand is why is he posting so much on here. That was his first visit to the shop and Bruce didn't do any buisness with him. But he can blame me because Bruce said!!!!! I will be glad to answer any and all questios on here and I have spoken with the police. They are watching this posting all the time. They are like me they just want the animals back and I need my sbakes back. They are not worth $1500 but maybe I could seel them for something. And if Bruce or anyone else wants to deny any of this my name is

So he lied to you regarding who the 'hets' came from AND he lied to you about what % of 'hets' they are?! What a friend. Sounds like good old Bruce lies about all sorts of things regarding his genetics.
I am sorry he did so, but it brings up an interesting thought to my mind. If he can lie to you, who is supposed to be a friend, he can and most likely will lie to anyone. That makes me suspect even moreso that the 'hets' that are out there from this guy are NOT hets.

I am very good friends with the solicitor (DA for you northerners) here in my part of South Carolina (Florence). I am going to see how well he knows the DA up in Bruce's area and see if he can be encouraged to get involved. Looks like there is prosecutable evidence now that so much has come out. This guy is conducting fraud all the way around.

I think it has just about been proven that-
1. Bruce has ZERO het Pieds. Barry, as a person who refequents the shop regularly, states that Bruce has neer bred his Pieds to anything. THis would support the fact that Bruce sells NORMALS as "het Pieds". No big deal, just talking thousands of dollars difference depending on how many were purchased.
2. Bruce conducts business as Noah. Barry, who frequents the shop, stated that he has never met a Noah and that Bruce uses different names while on the phone/email (I think he included email in his introduction to the BOI).
***I have emails as recently as Sept. '03 that came from "Harry" so I know that he is doing business as Harry as well.
3. Bruce sells POSSIBLE het albino retics to a FRIEND. Friend later investigates the origin of the snakes and finds out they are POSSIBLE hets. Just another $1000+ depending on how old they were when purchased.

We are still waiting on verification on some other things we are sure are facts......just need proof or at least an eye witness account of such.

It sickens me that people think they are above the law and can flat out SCREW people like this guy has done. I do not have hard proof as of yet about which animals sold are pieds and which are not, but the 'trust' that people put into this dirt bag when buying from him and they have been takling to a DEAD person or a guy who does NOT exist.

(ANSWER)Yes the cages were a mess and me and my girlfriend spent a lot of time tring to clean them and maintain them. All of the pics I have seen posted here of his animals are pretty old pics except the pieds. Those look pretty recent as that was there size when they came up missing.

Thaks for the prompt answers. You confirm, first hand, the info I have received from many other people regarding the same. I am glad to see that there are NOT conflicting stories regarding some of the issues I have brought up in my above post.

Have you ever noticed how he signs his checks? What about the signature of the deliveries he receives?
Although it is not wrong to accept a package for someone else, I am just curious if he signs it as Noak as well. This was if anyone ever did any questioning of something (say the delivery of a package) the delivery company could say that 'Noah signed for it at' or 'Bruce signed for it'. Although I may be digging deep, I think my question is a vlaid one.

So let me get this straight,
Bruce said to you, himself, that he hopes the pieds will breed for the first timethis year? Just so he does not try to get out oon a loophole, do you know that he was referring to breeding ANY pieds for the first time? Pied to Pied breeding? Pied to normal?
That would tell me that people who bought Pieds from Bruce/Noah/Harry/CRE/Digital Reptiles in the past were lied to and do not have het pieds. I do not think Bruce (or many others for that matter) have the ability to purchase that many het pieds from someone to turn around and sell.

Bruce actually puts people on hold, goes through some verbal transformation and comes back as 'Noah'. Have you ever heard the same with him posing as 'Harry'?

You mentioned the pics posted on here. So you can confirm that those pics (regardless of when they were taken) are form his shop (Bruce's) and are an example of how Bruce keeps his cages/animals? How sad for the snakes. Thanks for trying to do what you culd to keep up with them, although it is not your responsibility.

I am aware of your friend and his dealings with Bruce. Just another exapmple of Bruce's lerss than addicuate business practices. He can continue to take rodents from the guy, but fails miserably to pay what he owes him.

Not sure of the legalities of all this, but just a thought. You gave him your snakes on consignment. They then vanished. Could you sue him for the amount of the snakes (based on your recipt from him) since they were taken while in his care? I amnot a lweyer, but I would think so.

You said that you have the receipt of the sale/s from Bruce. Do they mention what it was that he was selling you?
Hopefully they do. You can then take that (receipt saying they were 100% hets) and then put that with you WRITTEN documentation fo the conversations (emails is what I am getting at) that states they did NOT come from who you were told they did and even more that they are NOT what you were told they were when you bought them.

THose of you that have purchased from Bruce, I would definately get my ducks in a row. Sounds to me like you have a case here, but again, I am not a lawyer.

Anyone have any thoughts regarding this?

anyway DEAD harry, who died in 1999........posted in 2003 that he had produced a clutch of pieds. and that he will not send pics to someone who is clearly just setting him up. (very smart and careful guy for a DEAD guy)


1. do not buy from Harry. (Unless you like dealing with dead people who guarantee genetics for LIFE.........his life)

2. Do not buy from Bruce
a. animal cruelty
b. animal neglect
he has prior convictions and present pictures to prove this.
c. he is a liar

3. Do not buy from Noah. Samthing as buying fro Bruce....BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SAM E PERSON

They had ads up trying to sell animals because of Harry's "failing health" . This is totally misleading and a total lie because the guy has been dead since 1999.
