    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I bought a normal female that was suppose to be gravid I have had her almost three months. They said they could feel follicles but since this is my first time trying to get babies I cant exactly tell if I can plus she tightens up her belly when I try. I know ball pythons can retain sperm so how long should I wait before trying her with one of my males cause she locked up with a pewter and a spider multiple times before I got her. So I dont want to mess up anything that is or could be cooking in there. Any help would be great. Thanks

Does she look swollen? If she was "supposedly gravid" when you purchased her, and that was 3 months ago, I would say that she should have layed her eggs by now. I would think that, supposing she has passed your quarantine protocol, you could probably try to breed her. Sorry if she isn't already gravid. That's a bummer to not get what you are expecting.

Being able to "feel follicles" and her being gravid are two different things. Once she ovulates, and actually becomes gravid, the follicles become too soft for most people to be able to feel. Without getting very technical, the follicles have to grow to a certain size before she can ovulate.

As far as how long she can retain sperm from the previous breedings, I've heard as long as 2 years so she could still become gravid (assuming that she actually did have successful copulation with a male before you got her).

But as Bradley mentioned, once she's out of quarantine (for safety reasons) then you can put another male with her. You won't know "who's the daddy" until the eggs hatch.

Good luck with her!! Do you have an incubator ready, just in case?

If they felt follicles and knew for sure there was follicles, then I would guess that she reabsorbed them and might need more time to recover?

If she has size...and past your quarantine....start introducing a male until you see ovulation....
