Well many years I have kept a tree frog of sorts around. Never had any trouble getting them to stay in a tank. But never have I had any of them to breed. I thought maybe that I had never managed a male and a female in the same tank. Not the case, I cought two pair of them last year mating and they managed to have a grand total of 10 babies to survive between the two pairs. Now I cant get them to turn up the love any more. Any one have any ideas as to what will respark the romance
.
Both pair are now in a home built cage, around 2.5 ft tall with about 1 square foot floor. They have two different watering bowls in the tank both about 1" deep with two little islands in the middle of them. There is a fake green tree in the middle of the tank and they get misted enough to keep the humidity right around 65-75% in normal business times, during mating times I raise the humidity to around 85+%. Temps range anywhere from 65-85 depending on the time of the day or night and what time of the year it is. I only hibernate them for 30-45 days instead of the normal 60-75 that they would be in around here. But I dont think that that time would affect them.
If anyone sees the problem or something that I am missing please post your thoughts.
