    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi im new to the forum but im looking for help breeding my leopard geckos. We have 7 geckos all together 1 real male that i can use to breed with because one male is 5 months and the other male was just given to us for free and not 100% sure on his age but the guy said he had them for 5 years. so im not sure if the male that is over 5 is young enough for breeding. for females we have 2 we can forsure use. the other 2 came for free from the same man and not sure how old they are. atleast 5 he said. so my question is we have had the male chocolate albino with our 2 females for about while now and nothing is going on. i have pictures of one females belly not sure if shes ovulating or not but the other 1 the tangerine is not at all. her belly looks normal. should i separate them or what... can someone give me the 411 on this. so i can make sure im doing it right

hi Danielle,
what are your temps like ?

well i had them in a 65 gallon one side was about 92 during the day...the cool side is about 73 it says right now. but at night its about 70 on the warm side and 60s on the cool side.....but actually i went ahead and moved my male to a 10 gallon by him self but one of my females is actually either ovualting or has eggs i hae a pic im posting to see what ppl think. so i added her to his cage. sorry bad pics from cell phone imma try getting a better one when shes not so jumpy...shes acting weird and wont eat today

my girls often wont eat for a day or two before they lay. i have also noticed that my girls get really full in the belly and look kind of bloated when they are about to lay eggs. how long ago was this girl with the boy and are you sure they haven't bred when you weren't around?
i had a young pair together for two months before they did anything. sometimes it just takes time.
i caught them doing their thing on december 1st and she laid her first egg on december 29th and a second four days later.

im not 100% sure they havent im only 80% because i check on them all the time and they never are together im a stay at home mom so i never really go anywhere and i mess with them all the time. and they have been in the 65 gallon tank with each other and others for about 2 months now i would say. they were separate in different 10 gallon tanks for a while til i got the 65 and they all get along really well and dont fight and lay together now i have my male and one female together in a 10 gallon. and i figured that im going to take her out in a week or 2 and replace her with my tang female if she starts to ovulate

another thought might be giving them a cool down period, but do a lot of research before you do it. the idea is to trick them into thinking it is winter time and when you heat them back up they think it is spring time(breeding season). there is a great book out (imo) called "the Herpetoculture of Leopard Geckos" if you don't have it yet i would suggest getting it. there is a lot of great information in it.
just curious, have you heard your boy shake his tail? it makes a buzzing sound, almost like a very little helicopter.

no i havent i have him in a tank in the other room from our other geckos trying to get the room warm and get him to breed well yesterday i woke up to the females tail like this...heres a pic and then underneath her it looks like they breed. not sure if you can tell it just looks like she was breed and ripped some how. i think they were breeding and he was too rough on her

heres pic of tail
