In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Brian Chumsae aka Dinky Reptiles

I just got a snake delivered from him today! It's a awesome adult male vanilla IMG phase ball python. The packing was excellent and the snake appears to be in perfect health. They kept in contact with me through the complete transaction. I would highly recommend him based on my experience.

At the time I bought this male...I don't think Brian exactly knew what was going on with him, genetic or not. He called it a IMG because it looked like other breeders snakes that are called IMG. I know Brian has had success proving out whatever morph it is because he called up a while back wanting to buy the male back and told me that it was genetic. He did say I would have to hold the babies back for up to 6-8 months (if I remember correctly) to find out which ones would develop the pattern. I don't remember if he said it was recessive or co dominate , I need to get back in touch with him to find out more. I will say even if I never get him to produce his strange speckled pattern, I'm still very happy with him and I have no intentions of ever selling him as he's my favorite pet. He's still a vanilla and am looking forward to breeding him to my fire and vanilla females. :)

He was a nice looking vanilla but i spoke in depth with another party at the time. and was told it is genetic but it is very similar to calico in retics it is random at best thats why the IMG projects where all abandoned long ago.

I heard of one breeder that had what they called IMG and he never produced any out of his male (even when crossing back) so I believe he gave up but I think it was something different that caused it's odd color. I can assure you the project has not been abandoned, I know breeders working with what they think are IMG's right now. IMG is a loosely thrown around word, there is nothing to say all these odd speckled patterned snakes are caused by the same thing, one might prove out and another not. Only time will tell and I'm sure going to give it a shot. If I hit pay dirt, I know they will sell like hotcakes, that's if I can part with them. LOL. Not sure why you would discourage someone from trying?

google his name looks like he had changed the name of business few times.Yes he is from Massachusetts

So what! I've owned a number of business's. I still have business cards from all of them!
AND, I'VE NEVER SCREWED ANYONE FROM THEM. It means nothing! Let's try and stick to the question, shall we. Which was... who has dealt with Brian and what was your experience with the sale??????
My experiences' with Brian were awesome and he actually has been very helpful, even after the purchase!
I really dislike it when people bash others' (even when they've had NO EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PERSON)!!!!

I did not bash him I just said the name changed thats it. I have dealt with him before no issues. All snakes where good health and cages where pristine I have been to his residence as well. So take a few deep breaths an relax

Hey Paul,
I don't understand why you would say that then? The way you said it sounded like his name changed, so watch out. If you transactions went well, why wouldn't you just say that it went well? I didn't mean any ill will to you, but he's been really nice to deal with and I don't want bad words to do him wrong. There's others out there that have done wrong, that's all!

Just by looking at the title of this thread, it doesn't take quick thinking to figure out why his business name changing may be relevant...maybe, just MAYBE, because it will be a different business name than the name in the title of the thread. :shrug01:

I think it is more than relevant to any potential customer if a business owner has changed his business name multiple times especially if dealing in the same product while only changing the business name.

Chirstina and John state that they had good transactions with him/her so it reflects positively upon Dinky Reptiles. However, in an industry where good faith by and large makes up a lion share of the transactions, any responsible consumer would want to know as much as they can about who/where they are buying their reptiles from.

And again, if you've had positive experience... what's the point of bringing up something that is questionable? I've stated my experience, and as far as I know you haven't on the original post. I've done the same on other purchases, on this and other sites, and I've purchased from Brian before. I'll be happy to state bad experiences to inform other prospective buyers, if that is the case. I don't want anyone to have a bad experience!!!

I bought a really awsome pastel female from Brian and found him to be very helpfull and pretty damn cool. I plan on doing more business with him. I recommend him. And yes he is from Massachusetts.

First off never said not to breed it and i do have experience with him also i was only trying to make you aware of the IMG gene I know some one that has dealt with it for many years. not just one breeding and then dub it genetic especially when none of the animals produced by it where proven to carry it. from what i see it is an incomplete project with that particular snake. anyone that has something real different like this animal would not sell it unless there was a good reason like infected hemipene and will not breed anymore or not proving out.

There are lots of reasons to sell a snake when the project isn't complete - especially one that has shown to be as inconsistent over the long term, like IMGs. Is there a reason you're suggesting that there is something wrong with the snake?

I've sold super high end/odd ball animals to move out projects before. Not one thing was wrong with them, I just thinned the herd and wanted to fund some other projects.

I don't understand why you assume something has to be wrong with the IMG snake for it to have been sold. :shrug01:

People get tired of dinking around with something and move to another project. It happens. There is no reason to assume a dud breeder was sold, or the snake has issues.
