    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sorry, I used the wrong term. I was thinking about how you should send Brian a certified letter, requesting your snake back, but, then, did not mention that since, a split second later, I thought about how you do not have his address. I guess the word "certified" stuck in my mind when I was writing about my getting a letter from you.
What I meant was ... a Notarized letter.
There is something else, that would be even better, but we can leave that for later (if needed).
 
Hey all I've dealt with Brian and while the first trade turned out ok it was very difficult to complete. He gave reason after reason why he couldn't meet and then I ended having to deliver and still had to meet up with his girlfriend to get it done. The second trade we had lined up however wasn't as fortunate. I built him two enclosures and was repeatedly given excuses as to why he couldn't meet up or pick them up and eventually just stopped responding all together. (I know, my fault for making the second deal.)

I too have been to his house and live about an hour and 15 minutes from there roughly. I don't have his house number but I know it's main St. In Richmond Ohio. He lives above a hardware store there. I would be willing to drive out there with someone else if we thought it would help.
 
Whether it helps or not, the address the snake was shipped to..."3887 state road 43 Richmond oh 43944" when searched on google lands me at a Rons Auto sales, Map Quest however lists that Business as (740) 765-1022 14 Township Rd 216 Richmond, OH 43944

The only Hardware store in Richmond is Richmond True value, maybe a mile into town on the same road. It's listed as 20 W Main St, which is the same street as SR 43. The hardware store does indeed appear to have a residence above it in Google street view.

Sorry if that doesn't help much, but that's the extent of my computer skills.

I think contacting the hardware store is a good idea. If whoever runs that is his "landlord", once notified of the situation, may be willing to talk to his tenant. Also, the landlord will most likely not want police there, do he may tell Brian to give the snake back or face eviction or something of that nature. AND maybe you'll get lucky and Brian isn't even allowed snakes in his apartment and the landlord will be glad to help get your snake back ..

It would probably be best if you pursued it yourself Jessica. Since you're the effected party and would have all the details.

If you do, I'd mention that his lack of contact has you contacting the authorities shortly, and you'd rather get it resolved without law involved.
 
well this is funny i was never told about this post i just got online after 5 days of working to see if she got the pics of the boa she mentioned breeding the females i have no issue sending u ur snake back as stated in the email i just sent u i also have the emails sent from u after i asked when u wanted him back n ur reply was no worries just let him do his work n when he done send him back as agreed to just because someone hasent emailed u in 5 days dnt mean its a bad thing ppl do have lives off this but as i agreed in the email i just sent u i will send him back to u now

Communication is the key. When you cut it off, people get worried and start thinking negative things.

It's understandable since you have her animal, and you're not exactly an hour away where she can go check on things. It takes about 2 minutes to type up a quick email and send it off letting her know things are OK. Even less time then that with no punctuation used.
 
I may have missed it, and I did read all the posts, but was there ever a request for the boa to be returned? I understand that this thread was started due to a lack of communication but even the email sent the day prior to initiating this thread didn't ask for the boa back "if he was still busy".

I'm getting a little concerned because it seems to be getting harder to get in contact with you. I understand that things come up sometimes, but I would still like for you to let me know what's going on. Please get back to me and let me know what's going on and if I can expect to get my guy back soon (I understand if he's still busy, but things seem to have been moving pretty fast since he started). I look forward to hearing from you.

I don't check my emails daily, especially if there isn't any that I am expecting. It is possible that the guy could have been more responsive but it's hard to tell from this thread. If he does send it back as soon as he is aware of it being requested then what more can you ask for?
