    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Still game to head out with you Scott, been off of here for a few days and frankly I'm shocked the OP didn't insist on a sooner ship date.
 
Do you know if his landlord knows about him having snakes as big as red tails ? I know I've mentioned this a few times - but I had this happen to me, only w a dog. I let a friend from highschool that contacted me on facebook use my male dog for breeding to his female, and all the sudden he wouldn't email me or return calls. He didn't live far away, but it was an hour drive to his house. He gave me his address but I never checked it out. He turned out to live above a coffee shopp so I called and said I needed to speak to the property owner regarding an urgent matter. They were happy to give me the name and address of the landlord.. After I had that, I called the man who was keeping my dog and notified him I had the name and # of his landlord, and actually said the name and number on the vmail. Within 2 hours he agreed to meet me to pick up my dog. I really believe his landlord had no idea he was breeding animals and he didn't want to get in trouble. I felt terrible afterwards as well but he had told me he owned his own house and had a huge backyard. I should have checked the address out before I let him take my dog, but I just never thought he'd lie. I share this experience bc maybe this is a way you could handle things w Brian. Maybe his landlord knows about the snakes - but slot of landlords are very strict about reptiles, ESP boidae or other really large snakes.

The store may not want to become involved for fear of liability; if they allow property to be removed and they are wrong, they could be on the hook. They are not required to help, so for them, there is only a downside.

If he is reading this thread, he may remove them or sell them all if he thinks he is fixing to have landlord problems. If they are even there now, the extended delay tactic makes me wonder if he is simply using the time to sell or hide any reptiles he has.

And that, is why you need to demand the return of your snake NOw.
Tell him to ship monday for tuesday arrival. or send someone to his apartment and demand it.

Someone showing up with a contract and no specific reurn date is going to have a hard time convincing others that he is outside of his right of possession.

And if you are telling me that you are going to tell a law enforcement officer that your snake might be harmed by too much sex? How well do you think that is going to go over with a non reptile savvy LEO? (I can imagine the stories back at the station).

I'm not unsympathetic, but I just don't think a posse is going to work.
 
I called the hardware store but they were very rude and told me that it was none of their business what he had done or where he has gone and then hung up on me. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get my boa back. However, with him at least contacting me twice within a few days and giving me a date, I don't want to continue hounding him if he continues to pull through. Am I still being too lax? Should I get a notarized letter anyway? I did pm him to let him know that I have a few people who are willing to ship him out sooner but he hasn't been on since I wrote him. Thanks for all of your input.
 
Who us responsible to pay the shipping? If he's supposed to pay for it, maybe he doesn't have the money? Just a thought.. Even if you were not supposed to have to pay the return shipping, it might be worthwhile to tell him you will pay the return shipping..

Even though there was no date in the contract, Brian did tell you he'd ship on the 29th. After the 29th, you now have a date that the animal is supposed to be returned by. That will help legally..

I really meant go to the store as in go to the address of the store and try to knock on brians door.. I didn't mean try to get the store involved in helping remove the snake bc ur right it's not advantageous for them. However legally speaking, the only thing that even would be remotely close to a liability for them is if they open brians door and help remove the snake. Them merely directing Scott and whoever goes with him as to where brians door is would not make them Liable for anything .. But from jessicas post it seems as if they are not willing to even do that.
 
I wouldn't trust that he'll keep his word. This has happened far too often to people here for me to believe him.
 
i have talked to jess every day now since this thread was found i do have a copy of every text she has sent me n everyone i have sent her back saved on my online account for at&t so for her to say i havent is one big lie we have been talking in text message threw cell phones
 
I don't understand why you would start accusing me of lying. Everything that I have stated is accurate. The updates since my last post is that you texted me from a new number on the 22nd and then I texted you yesterday, the 25th, and you texted me back a few hours later. I thought that things were going decent, considering the circumstances, but I don't appreciate you calling me a liar when I am being completely honest and just trying to get everything straightened out.

If you don't have money to ship the snake back tell us. I have an acct w ship nex I will send you a prepaid label - after I talk to Jess and set up a date and get the addresses of course.
That makes it really easy for you - all you have to do is put him in the box he was sent to you in, slap the label on, and drop him off at a ups or fedex.
Jess - I'm willing to do this for you. Send me an email.
