In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I never claim to be his friend. I stated and stated again that..

I asked Damon questions. He answered them!
I e-mailed him about some of his cages and heating ideas. He answered them.
He never said anything out of the way to me.

This is all i base my opinion on. I can still do that in this country. I am out to help anyone i can. Joel will tell you that. I even e-mailed you Mark about the green burm. If my retic is sold i will get it just like i said i would.
I am not mad because you diagree with me. I have no problems with anyone. I do not claim to always be right. No one is.

But until solid proof is provided then i will stick to my opinion.

A few quotes from THomas on Page 2

"I think what you should judge Damon on is his knowledge of herps and his willingness to help others out. When he has babies for sale and they are advertised look at his animals. If they are anywhere close to his adults then they will be hands down the best looking animals out there."

When have you seen his animals for sale, on forums, pics anywhere? Not saying it does not happen, but I cannot remember many.

"Do not judge him for using a different name or not saying where he is located. I would not want everyone to know where i was located if i had a load of money in snakes at my location. You are looking for trouble."

Those who use false name almost 100% of the time have something to hide. Since we do know his real name and he continues to go by another name I would think he has something to hide. Anyone who knows just a little about computers can find out where he lives. Your story of him having a butload of $ into snakes is unlikely the reason he goes under a different name. I know PLEANTY of people that have a "buttload" of $ into their collection, they still go by their REAL name.

Another quote from page 2
"If you were in a situation to where you could possibly compete with the big name burm and retic breeders then you might see where he is coming from. I am not so i have nothing to worry about. You can feel free to e-mail me and give me your number and i will call and talk about this or anything else."

Pleanty of people can compete with anyone they want. All it takes is hard work, dedication, a bit of money to get started. I cannot remember where it requires a false name to be successful in ANYTHING.

I guess what I really wonder from you Thomas is this. You say very little on your own experiences. Everything you post sounds like it came right from the forums you read Brian/Damon writing on. THis all sounds like a story that has been told again by someone new......you. What can YOU offer from first hand experience? Not your translation of your reading something, but good old fashioned experiences OF YOUR OWN.

From page #4
"I have never met Damon. Never talked to him on the phone. Never seen him in person or pics. All this i type is my thoughts and my feelings."

How can you have such strong feelings for someone you do not even know?

"Someone posted here about Brian Smith. I was stating he has his reasons for using a different name. What ever it is, is his business not mine."

If this is the case, why do you defend him and come up with all these things to justify it?

I guess my last question, as I do not want to go through any more of your posts and question them individually, is this.

You ask for proof regarding the things that people have said about him. What proof do YOU have to back up what you have said positive about him. All you have done is copy in your head the things you have read that he posted. You then translated it and put it into your own words. Almost like you are speaking for HIM, but have not a clue if you are telling the truth!
That is a tough gamble to get in to.

He does post pictures of his snakes all the time on Kingsnake. All anyone has to do is ask him and he happily posts pictures of his critters. In fact there's a recent one there now; his lavender/purple retics mating. It was posted right before Christmas.

http://forums.kingsnake.com/view.php?id=276318,276318

It's really funny because every time we talk, he asks me, "Have I shown you this?" and then he sends me more pictures! I have a whole folder on my computer with nothing but Damon's pictures; his critters, his cages, his wife, his tree house in the back yard...LOL!

Maybe you're mistaking him for someone else but I highly doubt he denied anyone pictures and/or help.

I never said he "denied" anyone pics. I sated that there were not many (maybe I said any) that I can recall.
I know who Brian/Damon is. He has emailed me in the past commenting on animals I have posted. If my memory serves me correctly, he owuld be the only Brian Smith that posts on the Burm, Retic, and Python page. Would that be accurate enough for you?

Oh no, Brian! That wasn't directed to you. ;) Slackass claimed that Damon refused to show pictures of his animals and I find that incredibly hard to believe.

I got it. It does make me wonder though. If someone goes under a falsse name because they do not want anyone to know who they are and what they have, why would they post pics of the animals. Like I said, I can find out who Damon is AND where he lives just by the emails I have received fro him today.
Just does not make sense.

Why can't Brian join in to defend himself here. Doesn't that seem a little odd?

In any event I'm done with this. I know I've said it before but I mean it. I posted what I know because someone else brought it up. Damon is a bad guy. Stay Away.

Patrick-

I am working on finding the original KS post. Anything on the internet that is deleted is not really deleted. If i am able to find it i will post it.

I have a copy of that post, Thomas.

Here you go, guys!

Egads! The formatting is a little wonky. I'd clean it up but I'd rather not alter it in any way.

Sooo..... What's Damon's last name? I'm sure a few people here would like to do a little research on him theirselves. But wait. He's probably too paranoid.

That's the bottom line, as far as I can figure. The guy is paranoid, and thinks everyone is out to get him. Well.... with the accusations he has made, he's certainly not making any friends.

That was a wonderfully written, and very long story. Unfortunately, it's full of holes, and with Damon's track record, I about as likely to believe it as I am to believe anything else he has said. He's got no credibility whatsoever, so why should I start believing him because he supposedly "came clean"?

If he truly was a "fairly large breeder" prior to 1991, you'd think we could find at least ONE person who is still in business who once purchased from him. But no one... not ONE person will come forth and say "I own a "Damon _____ stock" burm/retic/boa/whatever.

Since he's most likely just going to stay in his "spider hole", and wait until he makes the reptile world a better place, I'll just have to wait and see.

Totally forgot to mention...

Thomas Jones - I have nothing against you. I never said I have anything against you, or any grudges.

I'm extremely confused as to why you bother defending this pseudo-person... When you have never met him, never spoke to him, and know nothing of his past, present, or future.

As you are small-time just like me - it might be wise for you to take your own advice... And not associate yourself and your name with scum. You just don't know when it might come back to haunt you.

Like I said dude - no offense to you at all. I realize your just speaking your peace. But speak for yourself - not Brian/Damon.

Well, damon, this is the Wes Pollock of Slither City and as of now you are so memorable that I wouldn't know you from adam. Perhaps if you would post a picture of yourself it would jog my memory as to who you are. If you are actually accusing me of selling you sick animals to infect your colony you might want to have some proof of that. I don't recall ever doing that to anyone.

Perhaps we could meet in person and discuss it between ourselves. If you're in So. Cal. and so ready to throw my name out there like that let's see if you can do it to my face.

I think you may have confused me with someone else that didn't like you, though I can see where it would be VERY easy to dislike you. What, exactly, was our relationship and what name were you using back then?

Let's hear what you have to say and please have facts and proof to back up whatever you do say in the future.

Wes Pollock

If you are actually accusing me of selling you sick animals to infect your colony you might want to have some proof of that. I don't recall ever doing that to anyone.

No, Wes, he accused you of being angry at him for selling snakes at lower prices. He didn't say who sold him infected animals.

When I first began producing a great deal of offspring and selling them relatively cheap, it infurriated a lot of the pet store owners that were well known for reptiles. One of them was Slither City, owned by a slime ball named Wes. I'm sure that many of you reading this can guess one of the other reptile based pet shops here in So Cal that was involved in shutting me down. Concerted efforts were made to put me out of business at all costs since my inexpensive offspring were threatening their retail market.

Mark who do you feel is trust worty in this business. Give me a short list of names.

Thomas,
Out of curiousity, could you give some back ground info on yourself? Not a "loaded" question, I just have never heard of you. I suppose that does not mean anything though since people come and go daily around here.
How old are you, again, not that it matters, just wondering.
What do you keep? How longhave you worked with reptiles or snakes in particular?

My snakes got
>sick and died and I couldn't keep up with the vet bills and nothing was
>working anyway (antibiotics). I finally sold out and just gave up

I see, so your friend damon just sold out his sick snakes and bailed. Gotcha. Cool guy.

I would really like to be able to put a face with the names. Does anyone have any pics of this guy that they could post? I would really appreciate it.

thanks,
Wes Pollock

This is what Damon ask me to post. This is the only thing i have or will post for him. Everyone has there opinions and i can not change that.

To the members of the BOI and the herp world in general; Please don't

How about you Brian what about you. What do you keep. Are you the one involved with Savannah and Jeff Miller they are basically around the corner. Are you interested in dating me or something. Sorry i do not go that way. Like i said i am a small timer.
