    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Does it hurt your pet snakes by not brmating them? I do not intend on breeding them. But if I did all of the sudden when they were older start breeding the ones I have could I just do a brmation for that year? would they still be breedable? thanks in advance josh

as with another post, brumating and or

hibernating has been shown to expand the life of reptiles mostly in snakes and turtles. All snakes goes through a time of unactiveness whether it is heat or cold, wet, dry, etc. Some only do this for a few weeks to a few months. In the USA and probably northern Mexico, there are areas where the reptile population goes inactive in winter but again in the heat of summer. Where I live, snakes actually hibernates/brumates 2 times of the year. One is definitely due to cold and the other due to heat of summer. I use the term " hibernate " as to winter passing and " brumate " due to unactiveness to high heat. It is conceived with snakes, some turtles , some lizards and some amphibians that a cooling period is mandatory for cycling pertaining to breeding. More so with males of species to produce viable sperm count. But not always proven or the case all the time.
