Actually Tom that flys very well with me. That is the Kind of criticism that gets things done. I don't take kindly to smart remarks sarcasm and any other negative feedback. And we are not to diff in size. I'm roundabout 6'3" and 180. And yea I learned my Lesson bout buying without It being from a big name if it isn't obvious what it is. My het pieds both have paperwork my spider has a feeder card. The boas don't have paperwork or cards but it's obvious that they are T- sunglows so there won't be any doubt of is it or isn't it. Thinks have changed alot in the way I do things but seeing as everyone is so set in their opinions they are to blind to see it. I'm tryin to make it right with Ted but it seems they entertain the idea of being .........'s than working with me. Did I mess up? Yes. Did he yes? Is he 100% at fault? No. Am I 100% at fault? No. Now I'm trying to buck up and smooth it out like everyone has been saying but they would rather continue degrading and bein sarcastic ........'s than answer a phone call or reply to a pm.

I have to say that it is pretty dissapointing to see how everyone reacts and immediatly starts pointing the blame at the OP. When the other side of the party did not chime in once to say there side of the story. You would think him being the one stating his side would have some ground to stand on, but everyone immediatly starts throwing stones. He admits fault when he said he did not check the snake properly upon arrival but still everyone points at him for not doing so. I just dont see the need to argue back and forth over the facts he has already admited fault to. Its also funny how the one time the seller chimes in is when yet another one of his adds was questioned.
Nyteshate if you feel he has taken clips of emails out of his posts then why dont you show yours?
It isnt just this thread that people begin trolling over either.

It seems like most people are fairly heavily responding against the seller...and the few that are noting issues with the buyer's( (OP's) side - of which I am clearly one - are staying relatively openminded. Speaking for myself alone, I don't know the full truth of this matter; and the buyer and seller have some fairly different stories. The fact that the buyer admits fault for certain things does not absolve him of responsibility for those things...and, in a situation like this, in which we are trying to figure out what happened, why, and when, the fact that he plain ol' didn't even look at the snake for several days becomes an issue.
If you can't see past my pointing out his shortcoming, that's your problem; but I have pretty clearly stated that if the snake did in fact arrive showing, or developing, symptoms, then the seller failed to deliver the snake in outwardly good health. I've also been pretty straightforward about pointing out that the seller's response to this situation - as outlined by the buyer - sucked. Frankly, there are aspects of each story that don't sit quite right on my scales...but I'm somewhat more inclined to accept more of the buyer's story. The seller hasn't disputed what the buyer presented as far as email communication, except to state that there are emails which show other things - specifically the seller offering to make things right, and the buyer making threats. Of course, he says he can't provide evidence of those things (no longer has the emails)...so I requested comment on those claims from the buyer. How simple is that? The seller could admit or deny either of those things, and readers/potential buyers could consider the answers for themselves.
You may have noticed that I also pointed out to the buyer that it is never too late to do the right thing (even though the right thing may not be 100% clear to everybody). He claims that he offered to reverse the transaction, but that some delay in payment would have been required since he was broke. Well, the way I'm seeing it, there has been a delay in payment, and the seller has had enough money to buy other snakes.

To Mr Cowan: unless you are going to recant your statement about having offered to make this right, what is stopping you from doing so? You seem to care about the impact this is having on your reputation, and the best way to resolve that is to address this (better late than never). You've made a lot of noise about the fact that you did nothing wrong, and that may or may not have been the case in terms of the health of the animal when it left your immediate care; but I'll tell you honestly that sometimes you can do nothing wrong, and things can turn out badly. You may have been in a bad situation, and low on funds, but how much is your reputation worth to you? Why not initiate communication with the buyer, and try to reach some reasonable resolution? Unless, of course, you didn't really make that offer at the time, and you truly see nothing wrong with the responses that have been attributed to you.....

OK, so what you're saying, by your responses here in plain view of everyone, is that you think you're more clever than those of us reading this thread. That you think we can't see through your pathetic attempts at misdirection. You may delude yourself into believing that you're fooling someone, but, I assure you, you're not. You're just digging your hole a bit deeper with each post.

You're taking something as simple as issuing a PayPal refund (which someone was even kind enough to humor you to the point of giving a step-by-step tutorial), and trying to paint it as some convoluted, involved process you don't seem to have the mental capacity to grasp. I suspect you managed to fumble your way through withdrawing his payment without the need for explanation.

You slithered your way back onto this forum several months after stating that you didn't even need it. Obviously, you do, to some extent. If you want to have ANY CHANCE of salvaging some semblance of a decent reputation here or anywhere else in the reptile biz, here's what you need to do: stop replying to what you believe to be "trolls", send the damn refund, and, just as importantly, learn to properly care for your animals so we won't have anything in the future to "troll" about. It really is that simple.

@ RockStar- maybe you should call his bluff and remove any excuses he may have by posting your PayPal email address here in the thread in plain sight. How he chooses to proceed when all obstacles are removed from his path will tell us all we need to know about his intentions.

There were several people in the thread that had several comments against the OP nitpicking everything in his post, yes the majority eventually agreed with what he was saying but I felt that there was a lot of unneeded negativty towards him. I have noticed that in most threads it seems that people have to tear away at the OP's about things that are not needed that is also why I made that comment.
I agree he admitting partial fault to the situation doesnt make it right however he wasnt asking for anything in return from this.
Im am also sided with the OP on this because the seller has not been able to give any proof.

I took your post as directed at me...because I think I am the only person that has posted about that aspect of things since the thread became active again. This sort of thing happens when there is a few months (or longer) go by & people start posting again for whatever reason.

And it looks as if I hadn't done a great job of keeping up with this, after all. When I saw the post that I responded to, I did a quick scan of the rest of the page before starting my comment....and failed to notice that things had spilled onto a new page

Pretty weak man. Gonna try to undercut someone else because she got a RI in shipping. everyone knows they can get them if shipped a really long distance. Yeah, that is why the vet said she has had mouth rot among other things before she was shipped. Trust me when I say your at fault.
You have had every chance to end this by stepping up and giving back the money and I send you back the sick snake. You had refused. Not a great way to start out being a "big breeder" like you claimed your going to be. Hell you can't even follow simple quarantine procedures. In short, If any buyer had any issues with any purchase they would step up and take care of their customer & the animal. You have done neither. Shame on you. I have finished getting all the info I need to start posting this in the BOI. Trust me when I say you will not have a leg to stand on.

If it was legit I would. I have spoken to several people that say if she was that sick she would not have eaten twice and you act as though fauna is my only place to sell. I have already traded/sold a total of 17 snakes since I started and your the only one to complain. So do as you wish. I have no use for fauna an deleting. I already have a deal with a bigger breeder friend that he will list mine on his sight and help sell them an in turn I he gets 10% of profit. Your not hurting me in any way I assure you but I appreciate your persistence. It's almost admirable
