Build-A-Bator Incubator build kits
The Build-A-Bator kits include everything needed to build an incubator out of whatever container you may have. Wether it's a basic cooler, insulated cabinet or a refrigerator, these kits will provide everything needed to turn that container into a temperature controlled incubator. The basic kits include a proportional thermostat, THG heat tape, circulating air fan and all necessary hardware needed to mount everything. The thermostat is very sensitive so reads the temperature fast and powers the heat tape as needed. Being a proportional thermostat designed for incubator use it will gradually lower the power to the heat tape to more tightly control the temperature and stay closer to the desired set point. The thermostat can be set to 0.1 degree, has a high/low alarm that you can program and retains settings in the event of a power failure. The circulating air fan runs on 12 Volts so very little heat is generated while the air is circulated from the top of the incubator to the bottom for more even heat distribution. Screws and spacers are provided to easily mount the fan. The basic kit includes a fan that will push the air about 3 feet. For larger containers such as a refrigerator larger fans can be provided. The basic kit also includes 18" length of 6" wide THG Heat Tape. 12" THG Heat tape can be provided as well as longer lengths if needed (additional charges may apply). The kits are very easy to use. A 15-20 minute build time and you are ready to incubate some eggs. We provide tips on how to build and design incubators based on your needs and the kit gives you everything you need.
