Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just thought I would post some pictures of the little guy. Really a joy to keep and watch, a very interesting animal.
 
wrong angle - try to get a clear pic of the base of the tail from the belly side
 
It's too blurry to say with any certainty - heck, I can't even see the cloaca - but I'm inclined to call it a male.
I'd be more concerned with that red striping than the sex, though...

I think it might be the pic, his tail looks fine to me. He is perfectly healthy but I'm going to take a look at him just to make sure. Thanks for your input.

His tail has a bit of brown pattern on the underside going down to the tip starting just under the vent, that is what you noticed in the picture. It is not red or sensitive and it looks fine...is that a normal pattern or should I look into it more? I think I'm just paranoid cause you noticed it.
 
If its not red, don't worry about it, lol. I've got a few with some dark spots down there, too. The pic just made it look reddened to me.
Don't be paranoid because I notice something - its what I do. Sorry to have jumped the gun & alarmed you.

Oh no, I'm glad you noticed something. If there was something wrong I would want to know right away.

I appreciate your input on the situation.

I think it may have something to do with the fact that he is due for a shed.

Anyway, if I have time in the next few days, I'll try to get a decent photo of his tail and post it. Thanks again
 
Yeah - I saw his eyes (well, his eye) in the pic. The shed may have helped distort the color.
Enjoy him, but be careful.....bullsnakes are kind of addicting (right, Moo?)
