Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Burglary at Jeff Houston's place. Can anyone help?

At this point we have no clue if they will ever capture the responsible(s) of this theft. But at least this was taken seriously by everyone, including the press. This is an example that a lot can be acomplished if things are done right and for the just cause.
 
Just saw the story on the Ch 7 news this am. Hope they catch the crooks

I just got off the phone with Dan, and he gave me Jeff Houston's email. There are several similarities between the two burglaries.

Contrary to popular belief, not all of the inhabitants of the US live in the city. If I had an alarm system, the BEST I could hope for would be fifteen to twenty minutes response time, and I'm only 10 miles from town. I don't know where Mr. Houston lives, but assuming everyone in the world can be protected by an alarm system is a pretty narrow view, if you ask me....

i had some leos i sold , i tryd selling threw fauna so i could donate the money but didnt find anyone interested, but like i said i sold these leos and if there was some kind of donation fund for jeff i would like to be part of if it. i know how it feels to have animals stolen.
 
Howdy Folks, There is some good news regarding the theft at Jeff Houston's place. He has recovered most of the animals that were stolen, apparently in reasonably good shape (considering the circumstances). There was an arrest made, however Mr. Houston has stated that he cannot divulge the details of the case until after the trial. He posted all of this on "the other site" (out of respect I will not name it here as it does not allow Fauna to be named there). {to the moderators and Rich, I do apologize for the reference, but I think most people here would like to see Mr. Houston's response.} I have heard that there was a news story about it earlier tonite, but I do not live in the area, so cannot verify this. When I hear more I will post it here...

There was a news story~ on KCAL channel 9. They said the culprit was a local in Anahiem Hills~ one that Jeff had suspected all along. That he tried to sell a Mojave for 18 grand on the internet (They named KS.com, but I don't think they said the sale add was definately there) Jeff recognised the snake ~ an undercover officer arranged to "Purchase" the animal and arrested the criminal in a parking lot where the exchange was to be made. They said 9 high end snakes were recovered. They also named the culprit on the news~ so it can't be much of a secret any more~ but I'm afraid to repeat what I *think* I heard as it would be a BAD thing for me to be wrong.
