In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I've got a 16' burmese female ( albino/green ) that I purchased from a friend.

Anyway she's a proven breeder, but last year she laid 55 duds. My question is what would be the most likely cause, or better yet how many different things could cause this? Is it likely that a perfectly healthy girl like this would just up and one day become sterile? I'm hoping it was a sterile male. Hopefully she'll put out some good eggs for me this year.

Either way she's awesome. If she doesn't prove out fertile she'll just live out as "family pet" status, but I'm still hoping my new male burm will get the job done with her.

Causes to my knowledge:
Infertile Male.
Infertile Female.
Extreme temperature fluctuation.
Went into Ovulation and no male to impregnate her, resulting in the slugs.

Questions:
How old is she?
How much does she weigh?
Were they slugs right from her, or did they go bad once in incubation?
What Morph is she? (i dont know to much about burm morphs and the effects they can have on them. but this might have something to do with it?)
How many times has she laid?

dont feel bad, last year i had one of my burms lay a batch of slugs, i wasnt sure on what to do so this year i breed the same male that breed her to a different female and put her with a different, needless to say im pretty sure that it was the males fault in this situation. the female that laid all slugs last year laid 23 great eggs this year and the female bred to that male from last year laid 38 slugs, it is very frustrating and time consuming trying to find these things out, but its a great learning experience all the way
