    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was confused too, post #22 has "me - ballpythonchic" which made it look like you had a second email. I think it's just the way the screenshot came out, because from other screen shots that's the seller. In any case, I think the question was asked because sometimes people miss communications if they have different email addresses (or spam filters, etc).

I'm sorry that the seller took your money and vaporized. If you haven't already filed a paypal dispute, do so now - there are time limits. I'm hoping you didn't fall for the friends and family thing? That's a red flag if someone wants you to send it that way.

I hope that you get your money back promptly and this gets resolved for you.

I used PayPal, I tried to do "item not received" but it said to wait 7 days to allow for shipping.

Since she won't be able to provide a valid tracking number to "prove" she shipped it to you, you should get your money back once their waiting period is finished. At this point, it's just a waiting game.

After 7 +/- people say they sent you her telephone #, Did you call her?

Well i did a search on Facebook and i am contacting Admins of the groups she is in. They are banning her as i write this. We all need to pull together and oust people like her. I also noticed she is selling diamond rings and such. Those groups will also be contacted with a link to this thread. Sorry that you were ripped off
 
I am too, I hate that my first experience purchasing my first ball python was like this, I was so disappointed and wanted to just throw my hands up and forget about it, I felt stupid, enraged, and there is nothing I can do about it. Unfortunately she got me, but I am glad that she is outed now and is being banned, just will make it extremely hard to trust anyone now. On a good note, I went to pet smart and purchased my first ball python. Here he is.

Just my $0.02, but it would have been a red flag instantly for me to see someone supposedly pricing a pastel, a pastel orange dream, and a pastel lemonback the same. The $50 is about right for a pastel, but the pastel orange dream should have been several hundred based on the current market. I'm not sure what a lemonback is, but I'm sure it would cost more than a plain pastel.

Amy, in the future, pay attention to people's pricing; it can often help you catch a likely scam before you get caught.

Glad this experience did not sour you to the world of herping!
Unfortunately in any field there will always be a few bad apples, please do not let this spoil any future potential online purchases, maybe ask around and check the Fauna BOI, plenty of excellent reputable sellers of snakes around.
Good luck with your new pet and it sounds like you should get a full refund from Paypal as seller has not and most likely can/will not provide a valid tracking number and proof of delivery.
