In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My local pet shop has a baby/juvie Childrens Python and plenty of Ball Pythons.. these two snakes appeal to me most but I want to make sure i get a snake that fits my wants/skill level best.

I will admit I don't want to get bit but I understand any snake can bite. So I want to make sure to get a species that tolerates handling well and will be easily tamed and generally not bitey.

any suggestions? I know corns are a good option.. but looks-wise they aren't as appealing to me as bp's and childrens pythons.

^ and the childrens pythons are going to be Captive Bred Babies, im not saying the ball pythons babies arent, but your 99.9 percent gauranteed to get a CBB childrens.

hadenglock,
thanks for the advice.. i'm sort of leaning towards the childrens since i've heard they are good first time snakes, and you don't see them as much. I went to repticon over the weekend and didnt see any!

Ball pythons are the more docile of the two. Ball pythons have way more looks to choose from.

The local pet shop isn't a petco or anything is it? I only ask because you should support local hobbyist if you can find which ever you decide.
If it's a mom and pop shop that's a bit different.

Sorry for going off topic, just a thought.

The local pet shop is a mom n pop shop. I'd rather support the local hobbyist/mom n' pops shops than big corps like petco/petsmart.

yea, thats a big plus i see about ball pythons, is the colors. I didnt know ball pythons were more docile.

the only downside i see from childrens pythons, is from what i google searched.. they seem to dull out in color as adults.

 Mom and pop is cool too.
Children's are not as docile but better feeders in most cases.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
