Mistyck- I refer to Jeane as Jeane most of the time in business dealings. Rarely in business do I refer to her as mom. She sent the first email to caliente, then told me she found some rankins she wanted. I initiated the sale and did ALL the follow through because I bought them for her.

The dragonlady99212 account has been in existance LONG before we opened our store front. No one looses business by making changes. We have customers who still only know the email address from 8 years ago.

Online deals are sometimes 24hrs a day, depends on the time zone or country it is. Jeane works a swing shift job, I work a 10-7. Who ever is available answers emails to insure timely replies.

lastly, we DO NOT use paypal. We have our own credit card processing here on site, we have no real need for paypal or their overpriced 3% charges.

With the case of only one email account then you would think that whoever was actually sending the email at the time would sign their name at the bottom. Every one of those emails is signed Thanks, Jeane not Thanks, Wendy. So why exactly would you be signing emails using her name? Sure the email account itself may be in her name but each one has been signed at the bottom as Jeane. I'd say that's highly misleading and could easily be construed as lying.

Cut and dry just refund the money that she is owed not what everybody thinks she is owed. If you have both dragons them refund the cost of both the dragons. Wendy can eat the shipping charges and I'm sure she wouldn't mind doing so just to put a stop to this. I know if it was me I would be furious about not getting my money back but I don't have a "dirty" past for eveyone to beat me up over either and side track the matter at hand. I hate to take sides but if I was in either ones shoes I would have to make the choice to pay the money back. Even if I said not to send them back, I couldn't sleep at night knowing that I stole from someone. I don't want anyone to think I am trying to bash caliente dragons, I'm just trying to keep things fair. I sure hope this comes to an end soon. :yesnod:

Does she deserve it?...No. The problem is that you agreed to it. No matter how reprehensible she is and how miserably she acts, you agreed to it. I doubt anyone is lining up to do business with her after this circus but your anger is clouding your judgement.

If you don't do as you agreed, you are not acting in an honest manner. That brings you down to the level of business she is known for.

Refund the actual purchase price and wipe Ms. Childs off of your shoes for good. She is definitely not the type you want as a permanent part of your online life

She bought some animals that she was unhappy with. A refund was initially offered. The animals have been returned but no money has been refunded.

Just refund the money, so that we ALL can stop reading this drivel.

While we're on the subject, it is not the buyer's responsibility to PROVE that the rankin's are not unrelated to anything in the US. Since you, the seller, are making that claim, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. Again, unless you can prove that they are unrelated, other than the fact that you got them from a European contact, your advertising is inaccurate and should be changed.

Your wife initiated the transaction and when the OP started "playing hardball", you came in to rescue your damsel in distress. Is that because you think women can't handle business or just your wife?

Stop typing and refund the money.

Well, evidently there is at least one reptile vendor who feels completely justified in charging a restock fee, even if the paid-for animal has not even left their stock:
"If you pay and later change your mind and do not purchase a reptile, a 30% restocking fee will be charged. Shipping fees are NOT refundable."

Seeing that fair is fair after all, a refund minus a 30% restocking fee and shipping charges is certainly in order.
 
What in the world is this restocking crap. What about the fact that he can't prove his advertised genetic quality? If you bought an animal that was het for something and then he didn't send you the documentation what would you do? If then, after asking for the doc., he said that he can't provide the proof genetics then what do you do? Well if it was me I would want my money back and would not pay a restocking fee. It is there fault they advertised something they couldn't prove they had. Plain and simple she sent them back so the money should be sent back minus the shipping. It's not that hard to figure out what to do. But it's not up to me, it's up to Gary and Heidi and they have a good business sense and I'm sure they will figure out the best way to handle this.

I don't agree. If they cannot prove the genetics of something they have advertised, and the genetics are important, then should refund all they money including the shipping charges.

I wouldn't think so. My only point was that the question was raised previously about a restocking fee and others thought it ludicrous. Why then should a restocking fee be charged if stock has not even left the possession of a seller (as stated in RiverCity Reps/Reptile Addictions TOS)?
 
Jeanes TOS and website have been the same for years, I can't say I really pay much attention to it, I crashed it about a year ago and most of the info is gone.It should just be taken down all together. All our ads now for the last year refer buyers to www.reptileaddictions.com. We offer live arrival and a 60 day heath guarantee.

I asked Jeane and she verified that she has NEVER chargd anyone a restocking fee of any kind.

The bottom line is calientes website DID NOT have any of the above in their TOS, nor did I purchase these rankins from her shopping cart website. I purchased via kingsnake through email. I was never directed to a website to pay through and agree to any TOS.
