    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....
I know someone who HAS brought Rankins in from Australia. We all do, his prison time made him famous. I emailed him myself and am waiting a reply. Rumor has it there was only 1 pair of rankins ever smuggled in. I will verify that. That would mean it's IMPOSSIBLE for you to have unrelated bloodlines.

Well if you researched this in the beginning it would have saved you alot of time.

And like to add as others have Wendy you show no regard or compassion for these animals like you seem to state you cared so elequintly for that you would ship with comfirmation of someone being there to recieve.
Sounds alot like you guys are still so upset about the issue years ago and want to do the same to others.
If I was so adiment about pure blood then I would have recieve more info then one pic and some history.
I wouldn't refund you either any more In the beginning maybe but now No especially after shipment.

Wendy apparently thinks that Paypal will issue her a full refund if she gets the dragons back to the seller. Unfortunately, she does not understand that to Paypal, the deal was DONE when she recieved the dragons. Paypal doesn't get into the "it's the wrong bloodline" sort of disputes normally.
To add to that, to Paypal, at this point it would be a totally DIFFERENT deal, with her shipping the dragons back to the seller... without any paperwork saying the seller will give her money for said dragons. No deal was made, so Paypal will not do anything.

I'll say again, just to be clear.. I think the seller should have taken the dragons back, and refunded the moneys, becuase she sold hybrids, instead of pure Rankins(as far as I've seen anyone in this thread claim). But sending the animals back blind is not right. You don't throw a animal in the street just because you're angry at the situation.

I agree completely Theresa. If they are proven to be hybrids then a refund is in order. The problem is that the only one loudly and definitively screaming "hybrid" is Wendy. The seller still claims that they are, to the best of her knowledge, pure Rankins.


At this point, the only thing "proven" is buyers remorse. On that, the offer of a refund, less shipping, was more than fair.
 
Let me make it CLEAR- that she was informed on that FRIDAY that we were shipping on MONDAY, that is when SHE AGREED to give us a refund when we shipped. The only thing that has changed since then is she has said that if we sent them back, she wasnt going to refund us.

The label was made on SUNDAY and an email sent to her on SUNDAY with tracking info. The same was done on MONDAY. She never contacted me to say that she would no longer be there to accept delivery Tuesday as agreed.

These "Drankins" were NOT purchased for resale at the store. As the original post stated, I purchased them for my mothers personal pets in hopes to start raising Rankins again. We paid $200 a piece for them- that is a high price to pay- but seemed appropriate had it been new bloodlines, who the heck would buy them for more???

Lastly she didnt withhold her seller to me, she wasnt able to provide it because she had NO CLUE where they actually came from. They changed hands 3 times in 2 weeks. I did the research that she never bothered doing.

It has been 30 hours roughly since she recieved her animals back. I have no heard a peep from her. I have now escalated paypal to a claim.
 
good luck with that because paypal isnt going to do anything for you in this matter. You dont seem to understand their policy statement. They will not refund money to you in the case of something being different from what it was described not to mention its a live animal purchase which they tend to be hands off with as well.

i am glad i am not the only one here who thinks she went off the deep end. I truly think she is just trying to hurt Heidi's reputation funny that it hasnt though cause as i have said before this post deffinately shows her as the aggressor and the problem.

I have always just lurked here on the BOI and read them as informational pieces. Until now. I have to defend Heidi from this lunatic customer. When you or your daughter first told her that you were unhappy with the purchase she told you that she would refund you everything minus all shipping costs. I think this is very fair. Why should the seller get stuck with paying for shipping just so you can preview animals. She sent you pics didn't she? It seemed you were more interrested in getting a deal on this purchase rather than the animals themselves. Anyway I think you are a crazy customer and definately not worrth the hassle. I have dealt with Caliente Dragons in the past and look forward to do business again with them. By the way if you care so much about these animals. Why would you ship them with out requesting signatures. You should know UPS would just leave them on the doorstep if noone was home. Also she told you that she wasn't gonna accept them. To me you are the careless person and I appreciate the BOI for warning me about you WENDY.

Paying extra for signature doesn't matter. If a signature release is on file (or the driver just doesn't care) they will leave the package on your doorstep.
 
It was send signature required. And she DID not say she wouldnt accept them back, the only thing she has ever wavered on is the refund- never the return of the animals. The animals DID get returned to ger as per our original aggreement, and she DID recieve them safe.

So now the ending matter is the money. You think it is fair she agreed to a refund 3 times in writting and is now renigging? SHE HAS THE ANIMALS, not me. I should just be ripped off for $400? That is exactly the claim she is making with Paypal.

I dont care how much anyone here dislikes "ME", that makes her a THIEF. Simple as that. Ya'll would hang anyone else who tried to rip someone off like that.
 
It does not make her a thief as you are the one that reneeged on the deal by deciding you wanted to purchase the animal and fealt comfortable enough with what they were then got them and had buyers remourse. guess what just because you suddenly decided "oh i dont want these" does not entitle you to a refund. It was your job to ask as many questions as possible and get any information you could. You did not and then got pissed off when the seller would not hold herself responsible for this. She has every right to refuse refund on the basis of what you have done here. Had you not taken it to the boi and bd.org and the mybeardie.com forum and lord only knows where else i am certain you and heidi could have handled this properly. but since you decided to try to drag her reputation through the mud over your own stupidity then she is in the right. I am sure that even though you are obviously the aggressor here and the one in the wrong you have hurt her future business at least 400 worth. The main reason that refund was denied is because you blatantly refused to accept a refund minus shipping. There is not a seller i know of that would refund you shipping and purchase price. It doesnt work that way. She told you this and you got all pissy and went off on your tangent here. You screwed yourself and i feel sorry for you and your loss of both the animals that you obviously didnt care about (guess they were dollar signs to you only) and your 400 dollars. But i would consider it a 400 dollar lesson. watch how you treat people and do your research before purchasing.
 
When I buy something that is not as advertised when received, and then want my money back, that is not buyers remorse. That's common freakin' sense!
 
I told you NOT TO SEND THEM BACK BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND! What was not clear about that?

And yes the RANKIN'S are here safe and after the 30 day quarantine I will put them up for a charity auction..

Maybe in this case the seller would have been best served by searching the BOI to see what kind of person she is dealing with. I don't know a thing about dragons but I know quite a few things about Wendy and Jeanne. I wouldn't sell to them for any reason.
 
Your calling Heidi a thief? YOU sent the animals back when she said NO. That does not make her a thief it makes you look a bit :confused:
You thought by sending them back quickly you would make her look in the wrong. You could have sold them in your shop and at least broke even.
I am not understanding all of this or the hastiness to your decisions. These are not a pair of shoes that you did not like once you got them and a tried them on. Live animal purchases do not work that way. Its a gamble buying online and you have to keep what you pay for unless you have something unhealthy. A refund minus shipping was offered and declined. I know I don't pay to ship dragons around so people can see if its really what they want... Do you? :NoNo:

Heidi let me know when and where that auction will be. I would love a Rankins or Drankins.lol
 
Wendy I'm sorry but if you knew the key features to look for to check the purity of the animal you should have requested pics them before she sent them to you. I'm sure she would have taken them when she had a chance and you could have made your judgement then. Instead she sent you the pics she had and you seemed very pleased with what you saw in them and quickly made your deal. If you had doubts you should have spoke up before she sent them. She said she got them from Josh at Phantom Dragons didn't she? I think I read that somewhere but not sure. Anyways, if she said that did you try to get ahold of Josh? I can kind of understand your frustration Wendy but to be honest with the experience you have had working with Rankins you should have asked the important questions in the begining. As buyers it really is our responsibility to make sure we are getting what we look for. She advertised the truth to the best of her knoledge as I can see it.
 
Heidi, I would recommend refunding the money since you have the dragons. That's bad business keeping your customers money when the dragons were returned to you. If your condition of refunding the money was to have it less the cost of shipping, I would go ahead and do that...If your terms state that, then that's what you're entitled to do. It doesn't look too good on you either that you're keeping her money when you have the animals...You did agree to refund in writing.
