In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm doing some research into a new project, and I can't seem to find any pics of what the Fire gene does to the typical YB identifier traits (speckling along the sides of the belly, flames, etc...). Top view pics I can find no problem, but belly pics...nada. So if you've got them, I'd love to see what the difference is between a Fire and a FireBelly ventral areas.

I tried this an hour ago, but my phone ate my post.

A firebelly is a toad, or a newt, or even a boa...
I've got a couple of yellowbelly fires, and will take some pics when I get home tomorrow. I'm sure somebody will post in the meantime, though.

The name firebelly may be widely recognized, and commonly used in the BP world, but it's no secret that I am on the barely educated fringe of that community. Firebelly is a silly name; but I guess it isn't competition for bumblebelly - I still snicker at that one

Nice clean belly on the constrictors unlimited one. Its seems like an ok match for a fire i def. prefer vanilla mixed in. I guess it just depends on the quality of yb and fire a couple of the fire yb on wobp dont do it any justice.

I'm having the same issue in trying to get clarification on this morph. We purchased a male Possible Fire YB from Lynne at Boas and Balls. Lynne was very clear that she could not guarantee the YB in our boy. But 2 of our babies had me wondering. Both are staying here and I am very happy with them either way. I have had some say that they expected more blushing and flames and yet others who disagreed.

I haven't forgotten you, John...just waiting for the internet to come back. (I took the pics, just can't post yet....there MAY be a way to get then from my D90 to my phone to here, but honestly I don't want to know about it. Too much trouble, considering how easy the process is when the internet works.

Appreciate it paisan, thanks.

Looks like I've got a window of opportunity, so I'm jumping on it.
I'll make two posts, each with 3 pictures of each snake - rotating from side to belly.
Here's the first (forgive the look, she'd pushed her paper towel away, peed a little, and sat there...I didn't clean her until I put her back in a fresh tub)

Here's a comparably sized fire, for comparison.

I realized that the limited view of the fire's belly could throw some people off, so I took another one before I brought her back upstairs.

Gary,
Yellowbellies can be pretty variable. I don't have a whole lot of experience with them; but I have seen examples of combos that I was utterly unimpressed by, while knowing that they can be SOOOO much better. I have an adult female yb that isn't very impressive in the side view; but her belly shows the right markings...even if it isn't as obvious as some yellowbellies I've seen.
I'm not really seeing yellowbelly in the ones you posted, but maybe Jerry will find this and comment (he's a big fan of yellowbellies)
