Im looking for Callopistes maculatus. Aka dwarf tegu or false monitor. Anyway they were super common in pet stores when I was a kid. There must be somone captive breeding them??? If so im interested. Thanks

Unfortunately as of now, No chance, Chile has been closed to Reptile exports since the mid 1990s...

Yes. Thats what I kinda figured. I was hoping someone was captive breeding them all these years.

I saw one on craigslist in southern CA for $90 a couple of months ago. If you keep looking up "tegu" and "dwarf tegu," you'll find one eventually. The 90s weren't that long ago, right? Something has survived.
