Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I got this e-mail today, and somthing just doesnt sound right? Any advice please? Anyone know this person? Ive just read some wierd stuff here lately and dont want to get scammed.

Just there spelling and use of words give them away! There doing the same thing in other markets, I go to Paddling.net a canoe and kayak site, and they were trying to buy dozens of kayaks at a time! Same miss-spelled words and odd wording. Come to find out it originated in Nigeria!
Don't they use Croc's for kayaks down there?

I wish that was true. This common scam email looks like the large majority of the inquiries I recieve from people interested in purchasing animals from us. Poor spelling, grammar, and punctuation are an unfortunate part of today's society.
 
Ya! and my spelling sucks also! LOL
But there is just something about the e-mails, the way they read and look that SCREAM red flag!;)
 
I received the same e-mail last night from terry ray hailing from Holland. I asked a couple of friends and was directed here. Thank you everyone! :)

I received a similar attempt last week. They asked if a cashier's check was ok. I told them "no problem, but the animal does not ship until it clears". Never heard back from them.
 
Same formula all the time

Its not soo much the spelling that gives them away, as previously stated alot of emails comes with major grammar errors (not that Im any better).

The thing that I notice in theese emails is they ALWAYS ask for you to send them photos of the animal plus a price.

Now normally this wouldnt be too much of a red flag, exept in my case. I almost ALWAYS post pictures and prices of my animals for sale. 9 out of 10 have pics of the exact animal in the add, price clearly marked, no mistakeing the deal. Whenver its not an exact pic of the animal I state I will not do exact pics, but the price is always there.

The second is the cashiers check. Always with the stupid cashiers checks. I have gotten to the point where ANYONE who tries to pay with cashiers checks is ignored alltoegether.
 
Well, I have to say that I sold several of my leos to Terry Hildenbrand about a month ago. She paid me with a Money Order, and I went ahead and shipped them once I cashed it. It's cleared - I haven't heard a thing back from the bank, so I know there's at least ONE person who's good on their word and not scamming people!!!! :)
