• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Can anyone tell me if this looks farmiliar(poss scam???) I need advice

The USPS doesn't care about these guys. Most of them use FEDEX or UPS to deliver their bad checks. It's not mail fraud unless you use the mail service.

The FBI isn't going to to do anything - especially if they're not even from the US. FBI = FEDERAL, or internal.

I'm not sure what the Secret Service would do with any of this information either, as this is TOTALLY outside of their scope of interest.

The best thing you can do is notify the bank listed on the fraudulant check. And most of them know they can't do anything about it either. So, they'll tell you thanks, and that's the last you will hear of it.

If you get someone in the US trying to pull this scam, you might have an argument. But as long as it is someone from another country, you've got nothing to go on.

The Secret service is a division of the US treasury office, they were founded to investigate and stop counterfiting in 1865. They are in charge of not only counterfit currancy and checks, but also investigate most frauds. Here is a list of there dutys in this area...

"Since 1984, our investigative responsibilities have expanded to include crimes that involve financial institution fraud, computer and telecommunications fraud, false identification documents, access device fraud, advance fee fraud, electronic funds transfers, and money laundering as it relates to our core violations. "

I dont know what sort of power they will have to prosecute the offenders but they are definetly the correct agency to report the crime to, and will be more than greateful to recieve the emails and bunk checks.
