    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Looks like a Greek to me also. Your going to need at least a 20 gallon tank for it along with a basking lamp on one end. Greeks are mainly vegetarians a good diet would be the Mazurri Tortoise diet and alot of greens ( Romaine lettuce, dandelions, mustard & collard greens etc..). You can use Repti Bark as substrate.

Thanks...I have it set up in a half soil half sand substrate with a basking light...how vital is it for tortoises to have a uv bulb??

I'M PRETTY SURE THEY NEED A UVB AND CALCIUM WITH D3 OR THEY GET CALCIUM DEFICIENCY AND THERE SHELLS PEAK . DON'T NO TO MUCH BOUT TORTOISE BUT I NO THEY NEED D3 AND UVB I NO THE UVB REPLACES SOMETHING THEY GET FROM THE SUN OR I MIGHT BE JUST TALKING OUT MY :censored: RIGHT NOW LOL.

I wouldnt use a glass tank at all. I would try and build a tort table. Its too hard to control the temp for a tort in a glass tank. What works well is the xtra large rubbermaid type container that is made for storing your Christmas tree. They are fairly shallow, which will allow for better temp control
