    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Can anyone tell me what this looks like?

I just received this male Ambanja Pather today and noticed the area on his snout immediately.  I'm thinking it could be a nose rub but would like to hear any one else's opinions of what it could possibly be.  I did notify the person of this matter and sent pics asking what it could be and if they know how it happened and I have not had a response as of yet.  None of my chameleons have ever had this so I can't be sure what it is.  All help is appreciated.

just a guess, but it looks to be some retained skin from a previous shed. or maybe some dried mucous, watch for respiratory symptoms.
either way, you may wanna try to lightly pull it out of the nostrils with some small tweezers as i'd thing it's making breathing a little difficult.
good luck

cant be that, because the nostrils are on the side and back more--that looks like the tip of the nose has been rubbed off.  Normally panthers come out to a point at the end there.
How's he doing Julie?
: )

He is basically still the same.  No change after repeated soaking and he just went through a nice shed but is still shedding on his head and face.  His point definitely does not come to an out and upward point, indicating to me it has been damaged.  I have already emailed the person I received him from for a reversal of transaction.  Thank you all who responded.
